Captured Like Active Geniemon
There is no difference between catching Active and Inactive Geniemon. Simply approach the Geniemon and feed it some treats like you would normally!
How to Catch GeniemonSearch for Green Auras

Inactive Geniemon will have a green aura or beam of light above them as they roam the area. If you're looking for Inactive Geniemon, keep an eye out for the green light!
Check for Inactive Geniemon

Before capturing an Inactive Geniemon, you will be able to check under its name to confirm whether or not it's Inactive.
How to Use Inactive Pets
- 1. Select an Active Geniemon
- 2. Choose an Inactive Geniemon
- 3. Unlock the Trait
- 4. Confirm the Unlocked Trait
1. Select an Active Geniemon

Choose the Active Geniemon that you want to have inherit a new trait.
Make Sure There's an Open Slot

Active Geniemon need to have open slots to house their inherited Traits. Be sure to select an Active Geniemon with an open slot!
2. Choose an Inactive Geniemon

Select the Inactive Geniemon with the trait that you want to pass onto your selected Active Geniemon.
3. Unlock the Trait

Once you've selected both an Active Geniemon with open slots, and an Inactive Geniemon with a desired trait, unlock the trait which will consume the Inactive Geniemon as well as 10,000 Coins.

Your Active Geniemon should now have the inherited trait displayed on the right side of the screen.

Traits Have 3 Rarities
Inactive Geniemon traits come in 3 different rarities; Blue, Purple, and Gold. With Gold having the highest bonus, you always want to aim for golden traits.

, which means they only function to improve Active Geniemon by granting them permanent traits.
Undeployable Geniemon
Unlike Active Geniemon, Inactive Geniemon cannot be deployed in combat.
