Buddy Unlock Conditions and Details
Unlocked When Challenging Stage 80

The Buddy system unlocks once you reach and challenge Stage 80. While you might obtain Buddy Digimon earlier through Summons or event rewards, you cannot equip or use them until this feature is unlocked.

Only 1 Can Be Equipped
You can only deploy one Buddy Digimon at a time in battle. The equipped Buddy will actively participate and use its specific Unique Skill. However, you can freely switch your equipped Buddy at any time, allowing you to easily adapt your strategy for different bosses or dungeons.

You Can Hide the Buddy's Tamer
Every Buddy Digimon comes paired with a Tamer, who is displayed by default during gameplay. If you prefer to focus just on the Digimon, you can hide the Tamer by unchecking the box in the upper left corner of the Buddy formation screen.
Connect to the Different Dimension Box
Aside from battling, Buddies can be connected to the Different Dimension Box to gather passive items. Since each Buddy Digimon collects different types of rewards, it’s highly recommended to collect a variety of them so you can swap them based on your current resource needs.

Increase Base Level
Simply by increasing your overall Buddy Base Level, you can obtain a total of 5 specific Buddy Digimon (ranging from UR to EX rarity) entirely for free. Make it a priority to steadily raise your Base Level to claim them all!

The Buddy Summon is the primary way to acquire powerful featured EX+ Buddies. Even free-to-play players can perform a daily 10-pull using 3,000 DigiEmeralds. This makes it very accessible to secure your first copy or start gathering duplicates for a Limit Break.

From time to time, special promotional events or pre-registration campaigns will distribute Buddy Digimon. These are sent directly to your in-game Presents box, so always check your mail during major updates!
Buddy Base Enhancement and Benefits
Increase Base Level with Buddy Souls
▲Tap "Level Up" at the bottom of the screen.
The Buddy system features an overall 'Base Level' that applies globally. You can level it up by spending an item called Buddy Souls. As your Base Level increases, both the Base Skill and Base Effect become much stronger, though the required number of Buddy Souls will also scale up.

The Effect of the Base Skill is Enhanced
Leveling up your Base Level directly strengthens your Base Skill. Upgrading this skill is crucial because it helps reduce the amount of damage your team receives from bosses.

For every single Base Level you gain, your Base Effect increases by a flat 4%. Just like the Passive Bonus, this provides a massive permanent percentage boost to your team's ATK, DEF, and HP stats.
Buddy Limit Break and Benefits
Breakthrough is Possible by Getting Additional Copies
Limit Break is the core enhancement system for individual Buddy Digimon. A Buddy starts at 1-enhancement (1★) when you first obtain it and can be upgraded all the way to 10-enhancements (10★). To fully max out a Buddy to 10★, you will need to pull a total of 30 copies.

Each Buddy has a Unique Skill that activates in combat while equipped, which becomes stronger through Limit Breaks. However, the Unique Skill does not upgrade with every single Limit Break level. It only jumps in power at specific milestones.

Passive Bonus is Enhanced
The Passive Bonus applies its stat buffs permanently, regardless of whether that Buddy is actively equipped for battle! Because the Passive Bonus increases with every single Limit Break enhancement, it is highly beneficial to collect and upgrade every Buddy you find, even the ones you leave on the bench.
