You Can Only Sell or Equip

Digimon UP - Sell or Equip

Equipment and Plugins do not have multiple presets, so you can only choose to Sell or Equip. This means you are forced to make a decision every time you obtain notable items.

Gain EXP via Selling

Gain EXP and bit by Selling

Selling unnecessary Equipment and Plugins earns you Tamer EXP, Partner EXP, and a certain amount of Bits. It's important to utilize the Hologram Device to acquire better gear, but also to level up your Tamer and Partner.

Equipment you've acquired at least once is permanently unlocked as a customization skin. You can freely change your Tamer's appearance so it's okay to sell even limited-time equipment obtained from events if its stats are inferior.

Acquire from Campaigns and Events

Obtain from in-game and out-of-game campaign rewards

Special equipment is sometimes included as rewards from campaigns. Also, they may be added as in-game event rewards, so be sure to participate in both!

Ongoing Campaigns and Events

Purchase from Limited-Time Sales

Digimon UP - Limited-time Sale

High-level equipment is sometimes included in the in-game shop as part of a limited-time sale. These periodically appear under certain conditions, such as progressing through a specific stage or spending various tickets.

As these sales are fairly affordable, consider purchasing them if you like their stat bonuses or appearance.

Are Stats Important?

Not in the Early Game

Digimon UP - Equipment Drop Rates

Starting equipment with low rarities will quickly be replaced by higher rarities as you level up the Hologram Device. There's no need to worry about specific stats in the early game, simply swap out your equipment for better drops as they come.

Visual Pop-Ups for Changes in Power

Digimon UP - Power Up

When you're unsure about which piece of equipment to use, try equipping it. This reveals a pop-up which indicates how that piece of equipment affects your power level. If it lowers your power, then just re-equip what you were using previously.

Digimon UP - Prof. AgumonNote!Specific stats and SP Effects don't matter too much in the early game, so just equip anything that increases your power!

Consider Stats When Rarity Stagnates

Digimon UP - Differing Rarities

When changes in equipment rarity starts to slow down and stagnate, you can start to consider stats and SP Effects. Even items with the same rarity can differ in values for basic stats and the types of SP Effects they offer.

Digimon UP - Prof. AgumonNote!Depending on the level, even lower rarity items can have better stats than higher rarity ones.

Grind for SP Effects

Digimon UP - SP Effects

Once you've made significant progress and your power level has increased, focus on the combinations of SP Effects. Prioritize stat combinations you want, such as Critical Rate, Combo Rate, or Stun Rate.
