A Good Loadout Makes a Difference

It is best to be ready for any situation. This is why you need to optimize your loadout with the right weapons, perks, and equipment to be able to come out on top!

Get To Know Available Weapons And Items

There are many weapons and items that you can choose from in-game. Getting to know the different traits of these weapons and items such as effective range, effects, and more, will give you an edge over battle!

Know Best Weapons To Get

Some weapons will have better stats than others such as damage, fire rate, and more. It is recommended to get to know these weapons to help you prioritize which weapons to keep, and which weapons to swap.

Have A Weapon For Each Range

Having a weapon for long, mid, and close range will help you out a lot since you will be able to engage enemies no matter how far they are! Try having weapons in your loadout that can cover you for each range!

Understanding Your Loadout

It is important to understand your loadout for you to be able to begin optimizing it. Here are some things you will need to remember about your loadout.


Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

You will be able to bring with you two weapons. These will be your primary method of engaging enemies, and dealing damage. Make sure to have good weapons that can cover you at different ranges to maximize your loadout.

Attachments are pieces that you can attach to your weapon to augment their traits. There are attachments that will allow you to lessen recoil, aim faster, increase your magazine size, and more.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

Equipments are items that you can use to give yourself an edge in battle. These range from disorienting the enemy, remotely damaging the enemy, negating other equipment effects, and more!

Your backpack will be where you will be able to store your loadout. You will initially have 5 storage spaces, but will be able to upgrade it up to 10 storage spaces throughout the match.

Recovery Items

Recovery Items will be able to heal a portion of your health. Applying these will only take a short amount of time, but will immobilize you for its duration.

Armor will grant you a percentage of damage reduction. However, taking lots of damage will eventually wear it out, negating its effects!

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

Perks can be equipped to your character, giving them special abilities. These can range from moving silently, decreases damage from explosions, and more. However, in Blackout Mode, these Perks are consumable and have a time limit!

Sample Loadout

Here are some sample loadouts for different playstyles.

Sample Loadout 1 - Stealthy Playstyle

To add to the sample loadout below, it would be wise to bring with you recovery items, and some armor.

This Loadout prioritizes stealth. Using a Sniper Rifle will let you pick out enemies from afar while the Ray Gun will let you engage closer enemies.

Attach A Suppressor To The Koshka

Attaching a suppressor to your Sniper Rifle will greatly decrease the sound it makes when you fire. This will make it harder for enemies to figure out your location when you are shooting at them!

Perks That Complement Your Play Style

The Dead Silence Perk muffles the sound of your movement, while the Iron Lungs Perk makes you hold your breath for longer when aiming down the sights of the Sniper Rifle.

Sample Loadout 2 - Aggressive Playstyle

To add to the sample loadout below, it would be wise to bring with you recovery items, and some armor.

This loadout is for the more aggressive players in the game. Having an Assault Rifle will let you engage enemies from mid to close range. Swapping to a Submachine Gun can also give you an advantage in close-quarter fights!

Attach A Fast Magazine To The Vapr-XKG

Attaching a Fast Magazine will decrease your reload times, letting you jump back in fights sooner!

Perks That Complement Your Play Style

Reinforced reduces damage taken from explosions and fire, while decreasing the effects of Flashbangs Concussion Grenades, & Razor Wires. Consumer reduces the time you need to apply recovery items, making you a hard target to pin down!
