4-10 Extinguished Flames Mission Video Guide
Wave 1: 1 To 10
Spawning at the same time as FrostNova, enemies will come out to attack the bottom-most lane. Place 2 Vanguards to generate DP and a Defender to protect the line. Use the extra DP to drop a Medic to support them. Place most of your characters at the lower-right side of the map to take advantage of area heals and supports.
Place 1 Caster
Having Vanguards and a Defender is not enough to stop the enemy waves. Remember to place a Caster for more offensive power. Placing a Sniper is also alright but having a Caster is a better investment as a Heavy Defender Leader will spawn on the 3rd Wave
Wave 2: 11 To 22
If set correctly, the lower lane Wave 2 can be repelled by your Wave 1 defenses. Place a Defender and a Sniper to defend your center lane. Place characters that can attack multiple enemies as the waves will spawn faster this time.
Recommended AoE Snipers
Place 2 Medics
High ATK enemies will appear in the center lane, so place 2 Medics to protect your Operators there. These Medics can also help the Operator blocking FrostNova's advance. Place the 2 Medics above and below the Defender to maximize the healing.
Once it's time to directly fight FrostNova with a Guard, you'll find yourself scrambling for resources as you reach your Placement Limit. Pull out a Vanguard from the lower lane for an extra placement slot.
Wave 3: 23 To 43
Wave 3 will spawn strong enemies from both the lower and middle lane. As they are stronger than the previous lanes, there is a chance that your Vanguard at the lower lane may fall during this wave. Use skills from your Casters and Snipers to help stem the wave. Hold them off until you can redeploy your Operators.
Defeat Heavy Defender Leaders With Casters
By the 23rd Wave, Heavy Defender Leaders will start to appear. The have exceptionally high DEF, so use Casters to whittle down their HPs. Make use of AoE Casters to easily beat down the mob.
Tips & Strategies To Beat FrostNova
FrostNova's One Hit Attack
FrostNova has an attack that freezes cells, preventing the player from placing any Operatives on them. If Operators are already present on the cell, just one hit of this attack can down any Operator.
FrostNova's Targets Are Random
FrostNova's Freeze Attack's targets are random. If present directly in the middle of your defenses, there is a large chance that FrostNova can wipe out a good chunk of your Operators.
Hit FrostNova With Long-Range Attacks
FrostNova has an AoE ranged attack. Use long range snipers to hit from a safe distance, and Medics to support your melee character from afar. If done well, your Medics can sustain FrostNova's blocker while being supported with a Sniper from long-range, stopping FrostNova's advance.
FrostNova Has 2 Lives
FrostNova will get up again once it reaches 0 HP for the first time. Remember not to retreat your units after downing her for the first time.
