(*When Rushed, they move forward more than necessary and consume Endurance.)

Spd/Stm/Pow are Important

Stamina is fine as long as it meets the required value for the Distance, but basically all Stats are important in Races. When securing stats, it's good to prioritize the three most important stats, Speed/Stamina/Power, while securing as much Guts and Wit as possible.

noteTip!I think it's difficult to secure all of them at first, so if you focus on raising Speed, Stamina (up to the required value), and Power, you'll find it easier to win races.

Speed Effects and Details

Affects Max Speed

As the name implies, Speed is an important Status that affects the max speed during a race. The other four stats are also important, but basically, you will be training to make Speed the highest for any Distance.

noteTip!Speed is further increased or decreased according to Distance Aptitude. It doesn't make a huge difference in scenario progression, but in race events like Champions Meeting or LOH, the difference of an S Aptitude can often decide the winner.

Other Stats Also Important for Speed

Speed is a Status that determines max speed, but just having high Speed is a waste. You can only utilize high Speed when you have the Power to reach max speed and the Stamina to finish the race.

Stamina Effects and Details

Affects Endurance

Stamina affects Endurance. The longer the Distance, the more Stamina is required, but it's also needed to some extent in Sprint and Mile, so you want to aim for a Stamina level that matches the Distance.

noteTip!With the exception of some Umamusume whose unique skills become more powerful with higher Stamina, excessive Stamina will be wasted, so let's secure an appropriate amount of Stamina while properly raising other Stats.

Consumption increases on a bad track

For Umamusume, Track conditions are set for each race. If the Track condition is Heavy or Bad, Stamina consumption increases, so be careful about the Track condition when training for a race event.

Consumption Changes During a Race

Stamina is required just to run from the start to the finish, but consumption can change significantly due to factors that occur during the race. The following sections explain the factors that cause Stamina to be consumed during a race.

"Rushed"

rushed

During a race, an Umamusume can get excited, and sometimes a Rushed state occurs, where they pick up the pace more than necessary. The higher the Wit, the less likely they are to get Rushed, so increasing Wit also increases stability.

noteTip!The duration of "Rushed" is randomly extended, so if you're unlucky, you'll consume a lot of Stamina. For Umamusume participating in events where you want to consistently get high rankings, secure extra Stamina.

Power Effects and Commentary

Affects Acceleration and Positioning

Power affects acceleration and positioning. It's also a necessary Status for climbing slopes, so it's especially important on tracks with steep slopes at the beginning and end.

Guts Effects and Commentary

Affects Persistence

Guts affects Persistence during a race. It also has the effect of reducing Stamina consumption during the spurt and increasing max speed, so it's a Status that is particularly useful in the final phase.

Lower priority compared to other Stats

Guts is also an excellent Status, but it has a lower priority compared to Speed/Stamina/Power. It's a Status that intermediate to advanced players who can sufficiently raise these three Stats should be aware of when training stronger Umamusume.

noteTip!For Sprint and Mile, which require less Stamina, even beginners who don't have many Support Cards can raise Guts.

Wit Effects and Commentary

Wit affects various aspects, mainly Skill activation rate, Rushed rate, and positioning during a race. Compared to other Stats, its effects are a bit harder to grasp, but it's an essential Status for achieving stable results in events.

Does not affect "Late Start"

late start

The Late Start state that occurs at the start happens randomly regardless of Wit, so unlike "Rushed", Wit does not affect Late Start.

Can be countered with Skills

concentration

"Late Start" occurs randomly, but some Skills can reduce or nullify the late start, so if you acquire such gate Skills, the higher your Wit, the less likely you are to have a late start.

What are Stats?

Important Factors that Affect Races

Umamusume have five Stats: Speed/Stamina/Power/Guts/Wit. Although some Stats have lower priority in certain Distances, it is recommended to raise all Stats to train a strong Umamusume.

Can be Increased with Skills

There Skills that activate during a race, and Skills with a green icon can raise Stats. There are Skills corresponding to each Stats, so acquire the Skills that match the Status you want to raise.

Affected by Mood

The Mood displayed at the start of a race affects the Stats during the race. Be careful, as your Stats will decrease if your Mood is Bad or Awful.

noteTip!The Mood displayed in races during Career is basically the same as the Mood that affects the Status increase from Training, so basically, try to maintain a "Great" Mood.

How to Raise Stats

  • Training
  • Various events
  • After a Race
  • Spark Inheritance

Training

train

The most basic way to raise Stats. Depending on the type of Training, you can aim to raise specific Stats. The higher the "Growth Rate" set for each Umamusume, the greater the increase from Training.
