Distance Aptitude

Distance Aptitude

Distance Aptitude is an Aptitude set for each distance, such as Mile and Medium Distance. It's an Aptitude that boosts Speed, which is extremely important in Races.

Track Aptitude

Track Aptitude

Track Aptitude comes in two types: Turf and Dirt. It's an Aptitude that affects Power, and since it can boost your acceleration, which is important in Races, it is a very important Aptitude along with Speed.

Style Aptitude

Style Aptitude

Style Aptitude is an Aptitude corresponding to strategies like Front Runner and Late Surger. It affects Wit in Races. While it can increase the activation rate of Skills, its impact on the Race is less than the two above.

Effects of Raising Aptitudes

It Boosts Your Stats

When you raise an Aptitude, a boost is applied to the corresponding stat. A high Aptitude gives a positive boost, but be aware that a low Aptitude will result in a negative boost.

You Can Raise Stats Beyond 1200

Each stat normally has a cap of 1,200, but if you have a stat of 1,200 in addition to an S Aptitude, you can raise the stat beyond 1,200.

Your Team Rank Rating Will Increase

Team Rank is based on the total Rating of the 15 Uma Musume on your team. When forming your team, relevant Aptitudes can boost each Umamusume's Rating, contributing to a higher overall Team Rank. To raise your Team Rank effectively, make sure to improve key Aptitudes as well.

Tip!For example, if you set up for a Medium Distance Race with a Front Runner, a boost will be applied according to your Turf, Medium Distance, and Front Runner Aptitudes.

Priority for Raising Aptitudes

Prioritize Distance and Track Aptitudes

Silence Suzuka Aptitude

Distance Aptitude and Track Aptitude are Aptitudes that can boost Speed and Power, which are important for winning or losing Races. These two Aptitudes are particularly important, so you should aim for an S in these Aptitudes.

S-Rank Style Has Less Impact

S-Rank Style Has Less Impact

Since Style Aptitude has less impact on the Race compared to the other two, you generally don't need to go out of your way to aim for an S. However, if the Aptitude is B or lower, the disadvantages are significant, so if the Style you want to use is B or lower, you should raise it to A.

How to Raise Aptitudes

Starts Higher Based on Inherited Sparks

At the start of a Career, your Aptitude will increase according to the number of Aptitude Sparks you inherit. The increase at this point goes only up to A, and you cannot get an S Aptitude here.

Sparks Needed per Aptitude Increase

Increase LevelRequired Sparks (Number of Stars)
1 Level Increase (G→F)1
2 Level Increase (G→E)4
3 Level Increase (G→D)7
4 Level Increase (G→C)10

No Increase Beyond 4 Levels

No Increase Beyond 4 Levels
▲No matter how many Sparks you stack, the increase at the start is capped at 4 levels. If the initial Aptitude is G, the limit is C.

Aptitude Increases from Inspiration Events

Aptitude Increases from Inspiration Events

During the Inspiration Event in early April of the Classic and Senior years, activating an Aptitude Spark increases the Aptitude by one level. To reach S rank, the Aptitude Spark must activate during this event. The increase is always one level per activation, regardless of star count, but having more stars raises the activation chance.
