What Is Death Penalty In Minecraft Dungeons?
Death Happens When You Lose All HP
Death in Minecraft Dungeons happens when your HP bar, the heart on your status bar, loses all color and goes down to zero. This is encompassing, whether you are playing in solo or multiplayer.
Different Penalties For Solo & Multiplayer
The death penalty in Minecraft Dungeons differs in solo mode and multiplayer. In solo mode, you have 3 lives before you have to restart the level while all teammates need to die before you will lose a life.
What Happens When You / Teammates Die?
Have 3 Lives In Solo Mode
When playing in solo mode, you will be granted 3 lives in every dungeon. When your HP bar goes down to zero, you'll lose a life. Lose 3 lives & you'll have to restart the level.

When you lose 3 lives in solo mode, you will have no chances left. You'll be transported back to the Camp where you'll need to restart the dungeon again.
Teammates Can Be Revived In Multiplayer
When in local or online co op, teammates will have their own separate life bar. When this goes down to 0, you can revive them as long as you're near their corpse.
