What Are Fairies?

NOTE: This article is based on previous versions of Hyrule Warriors. This will be updated as soon as more information is confirmed.

Your Companion During Fights

Fairies are non-playable characters that accompany you as you explore the world and will help you out during fights.

Assists You Using Magic

These fairies assist you by using magic in order to help defeat crowds of enemies. The magic will not only deal massive damage, but will also temporarily grant you a protective barrier that lessens or even negates damage.

Find During Exploration

Fairies can be found while exploring the world. Fairies are usually found within brown pots, so keep your eyes open for these. Once you find a fairy, it will automatically become a companion!

Maximum Of 3 Companion Fairies

Keep in mind that players will only have a maximum of 3 fairies at a time. If you find a fourth fairy, you'll need to part ways with one of your existing fairy companions.

How To Level Up Fairies

Raise Level Through Food

You can feed fairies food in order to raise their stats. Each food type will provide bonuses to the fairy type, so make sure to pair the food with the correct fairy in order to maximize the food's effects!

Skills Dictated By Element Type

The skills that a fairy will be able to use are directly related to the fairy's element. If you are looking to use a particular skill, make sure to bring the fairy with the corresponding type along!

  • Dark

Nurture To Gain Rental Skills

Nurturing a fairy will allow it to learn a Rental Skill! The Rental Skill that the Fairy learns will be based on the fairy's personality. However, it may be possible to change the Fairy's rental skills.

Edit Apparel

You will also be able to dress up your Fairies in order to make them more efficient during combat! These clothing items will have a variety of effects, from increasing magical damage, to lowering MP cost of magic!

Refresh Your Fairy

Reach Level 99 To Refresh Fairy

Leveling your Fairy up to 99 will give you the option to refresh it. This will reset your Fairy's level back to 1, and will allow you to rename it. Refreshing your Fairy will also give you some benefits.

Benefits Of Refreshing Your Fairy

Despite returning to level 1, the Fairy will retain all of the Rental Skills and Trust that it currently has. You will also be able to replace a trait with another on to learn a different Rental Skill. Additionally, the Fairy will gain increased damage per refresh!

Fairy Trust

Increase Effectiveness Of Magic & Skills

A Fairy will have a Trust level that will increase the effectiveness of certain magic and skills. If you want to have a Fairy that utilizes powerful attacks and skills, consider raising the Fairy's trust level.

Increase Trust with Food

The easiest way to grow your Fairy's Trust it to give it food. Feed your Fairy with tons of high quality food in order to quickly gain Trust levels!
