Unlock Secret Character - Great Fairies
Great Fairies
The Great Fairies are a secret Playable Character that can be unlocked in the game after clearing the first stage of Chapter 4!

All Fairy Fountain missions will be timed, with individual tasks during the mission having separate timers. If you're struggling to beat these, make sure you're sufficiently leveled up - the recommended level for most of these is between 25-29.
1. Offering Help On The Road
In order to unlock the Fairy Fountain quests, you'll first have to complete a separate quest called Offering Help on the Road. This is unlocked after clearing Ch. 4 - Akkala Tower. This quest only requires you to turn in 4,500 rupees, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem if you've stocked up!

On this snowy stage you won't have a time limit, but you'll have to first defeat 5 Ice Moblins in order to take on the boss of this stage: the Great Fairy Kaysa.
2. Fairy Fountain: Grassy Plains
On this stage, you will be timed and have to complete a series of tasks in a prompt fashion. You'll be taking on a Hinox, killing enemies to collect Rupees, and finally taking on the Great Fairy Cotera.
2. Fairy Fountain: Desert Sands
In the Desert fountain you'll be tasked with finding 600 rupees in 13 minutes before facing off against the Great Fairy Tera. Rupees can be obtained by killing enemies, and you'll likely have to get almost every enemy to reach your goal, so don't dally!
3. Fairy Fountain: Battlefield
The final stage will pose the biggest challenge. You'll first have to defeat several Moblins on a timer and collect the rupees they drop. Ignore all small adds and run directly to the Moblins! Use your special attacks on the first one so it's hopefully back up for the final round, where you'll face two at once. If you finish this successfully, you'll fight Mija, the final Great Fairy.
The Great Fairies will be unlocked as soon as you clear this stage!

Monk Maz Koshia
The Monk Maz Koshia is a secret Playable Character that can be unlocked in the game after clearing the middle part of Chapter 4!

You can use any Character to complete the challenge and get Monk Maz Koshia to join you. The recommended level is 38, so make sure you level up a bit before challenging him.

1. Complete Ch4. Destroy the Yiga Clan First
To gain access to this challenge, you must first complete Chapter 4's Destroy the Yiga Clan mission first. Only then will you get access to all the other requirements for the challenge.

Note that your battle with Monk Maz Koshia is timed at 3 minutes, requiring you to meet certain damage cap when trying to beat him. We challenged & beat him at Lv. 58 but you could get off the hook with better weapons & skills.
Challenge Him With Your Best Built Characters
As this challenge is timed, it is important to bring your best character to the fight. Level up & get them equipped with the best weapons at hand so you can clear this challenge in time!
