Dark Zone South Recon - Walkthrough Chart

| 1 | Head towards the East Mall area to find the Side Quest marker |
| 2 | Locate the computer and activate it |
| 3 | Move around the compound & locate the ladder to find another way into the Dark Zone |
| 4 | Follow your quest marker to find the spot where you scan the area |
| 5 | Move into the building and clear it of enemies |
| 6 | Collect the power fuse and then move to the next scan location |
| 7 | Scan the area then follow your quest marker to destroy the signal jammer |
| 8 | Defeat the enemies you encounter then activate the Echo |
| 9 | Continue on and scan the 3rd area |
| 10 | Follow your marker to enter a safe room then take the power fuse |
| 11 | Exit the building, rappel downward, then head towards the compound gate |
| 12 | Install the power fuse, exit the Dark Zone, then install the 2nd power fuse |
| 13 | Leave the room then activate the computer to open the gate |
| 14 | Head towards the wall to find the SHD Terminal - activate it to end the mission |

5.~8. Combat Tips
Use Recovery Skills To Keep Health Up
When clearing areas of hostiles, it's best to deploy Recovery Skills such as Fixer Drones or Chem Launcher. These will keep your health and armor up in the middle of the fight.
Check Out Recommended Skills To Unlock!Stay Under Cover To Avoid Enemy Fire
Utilize boxes, debris, walls, and others as protective cover to avoid getting damaged by enemy fire. This will keep you safe and help you spot the direction of incoming bullets.
Watch Out For Sniper Flashes
Snipers can deal very heavy damage if you get caught in their shots. Watch out for their gun flashes to spot their locations. This will help you take them down quickly before they can shoot you.
Shoot Gas Tanks For Area-Of-Effect Damage
Look out for gas tanks or containers in the battle field. If you shoot them, they will explode and have powerful splash damage. This is effective when dealing with multiple enemies or tankier foes.
Note Enemy Icons To Exploit Their Weaknesses
Some enemies you encounter have specific icons next to their HP bar. Take note of these and identify them to help you exploit their weaknesses.
3. Find Another Way Into Zone
Search For The Ladder Leading Underground
The ladder that will lead you into the Dark Zone can be found around the compound. Turn left from the gate and you'll find the ladder leading down into a manhole, surrounded by dilapidated cars.
7. Destroy Signal Jammer
Shoot At Jammer From A Distance
Once you locate the jammer, you don't have to be next to it to destroy it. Use a mid to long-range weapon to destroy it from a distance, keeping you safe from enemy fire.
