Ashina Reservoir ~ Rescue Of Divine Heir Walkthrough Chart

No.Procedure
1 Pick up the item and move forward
2 Follow the tutorial prompts for jump and wall jumps to progress forward
3Jump up through the hole to reach Ashina Reservoir
4Wall hug the mountain side to the left and shimmy through the ledge
5Proceed forward until prompted for the stealth tutorial
6Make your way through the grass to the open area under the house
7Exit through the other side of the house, and make your way down to the cliff side
8Ledge hang and shimmy your way through the cliff
9Proceed forward through a series of ledge hangs, until you reach a hole you can climb through. Enter to trigger the cutscene

5. Proceed Forward Until Prompted - Tips

Avoid Combat Using Stealth

At this point, you are unarmed and you will need to stealth your way through the level. Use the tall grass as cover. Watch out for warning markers above enemies' heads.

6. Make Your Way Through the Grass - Tips

If Spotted, Wait Under The House

If Spotted, Wait Under The House

If you're spotted by the guards outside, simply wait in the area under the house and wait for the alert to drop.

This letter can be found at the start of level right in front of you.

No.Procedure
1Receive your weapon Kusabimaru. Talk again to the Divine Heir to receive a Healing Gourd
2Climb up the stairs and pick up Pellet
3Exit through the door behind the Divine Heir
4Use the Healing Gourd to heal yourself
5Proceed straight until you reach a gate where the mini boss "Leader Shigenori Yamauchi" is. You can run past him through the right side passage
6Follow the cliff side until you reach a bridge. Climb up until you reach the area under the bridge. Kill the enemy here
6 Ledge hang on the other side of the bridge to reach another pellet
7 Continue dropping down until you reach the escape route. Call the Divine Heir when prompted to trigger a cutscene
8Fight Genichiro Ashina. Beating him is optional since losing to him will also progress the story

5. Proceed Straight Until You Reach a Gate - Tips

Run Past Shigenori Yamauchi

To avoid unnecessary damage. You can run past Shinegori by running through the right side cliff. Use this passage to reach the bridge.

8. Ledge Hang on the Other Side - Tips

You Don't Have To Beat Genichiro Ashina

You Don

Your first battle with Genichiro Ashina will have you lose no matter how well you fend off this foe. You can purposely lose to this fight to progress the story.

1. Healing Gourd

Healing Gourd

Received when speaking again to the Divine Heir.

2. Pellet

Pellet

On the floor after climbing the stairs after meeting the Divine Heir.

6. Pellet

Pellet

At the other side of the bridge, there's a pellet on the side of the cliff. Ledge hang down to reach this area.

I'm not sure how to delete my previous comment about the Pellets, I just saw it in the guide, my mistake.

There are Pellets available upstairs after the first cutscene.
