Benefits Of Using Stealth

Gain A Tactical Advantage Over Enemies

You do not need to face every enemy head on in your long and perilous journey. Sometimes, the best route to survive is to play it stealthily. Being sneaky also comes with some benefits!

Perform Deathblows

Perform Deathblows

Playing it stealthily will allow you to perform Stealth Deathblows on unsuspecting enemies. These can be done on most enemies that do not notice you! When close enough, a prompt will glow red to perform a Deathblow.

Learn More About Your Enemies

Playing stealth also lets you listen in on enemy conversations. Some dialogues may hold various information such as lore, boss and enemy placements, and even enemy weaknesses!

Avoid Combat With Tough Enemies

Using stealth can also allow you to avoid combat with tougher enemies! While this is not always the case, you can sometimes use stealth to push forward instead of having to fight a group or mini-boss.

Keep Out Of Enemy's Line Of Sight

Keep Out Of Enemy Line Of Sight

If you are detected by an enemy, they will immediately engage you. This can mean that other nearby enemies may see this, and join in as well. It is best to keep out of their line of sight to avoid being detected.

How To Keep Out Of Line Of Sight

  • Crouch in tall grass
  • Hug walls
  • Gain the higher ground
  • Use obstacles in the environment
  • Sneak past behind them

Watch Out For Their Detection Markers

Enemies will have a marker which dictates whether they have detected you or not. This will be shown on your HUD to show which direction the enemy is. The markers are color coded to show their level of detection.

Color Of Detection Markers

ColorDescription
WhiteThey barely notice you. If the the marker fills up, it will turn to yellow.
YellowEnemies will start to investigate the area. They know something is amiss.
RedEnemies have detected you. Prepare to fight!
