Only White Dragons will Lower Vitality

Defeating the Old Dragons of the Tree is entirely dependent on defeating all of the white dragons that pop up during the fight. Defeat them all and the boss fight will be over.

Special Deathblow will Damage Multiple Dragons

Special Deathblow will Damage Multiple Dragons

Grapple up a tree trunk and from there, jump down and deal a deathblow on any of the dragons. The deathblow is a special one wherein Sekiro will grab the dragon and swing in a wide arc that damages all that it hits.

Use Lightning Reversal to Damage Divine Dragon

The Divine Dragon can only be damaged through lightning. During the fight, it will summon lightning that you can use Lightning Reversal on to throw it back and damage it!

Head to the Glowing Tree Trunk

Head to the Glowing Tree Trunk

Where the Lightning will strike is indicated by a light in the tree trunk. Quickly grapple to it to be hit by lightning that you can reverse back to the Divine Dragon.

The Divine Dragon cannot be killed so to complete the boss fight, you need to get up its sword and drive your mortal blade to its eyes. Doing so will complete the fight and teleport you back to Ashina Castle.

Tree trunks will appear during the fight that will deal damage if they erupt from under you. When the Old Dragons of the Tree start summoning them, run around the area until all of them have been raised.

With so many dragons around, it's easy to get afflicted by Poison. When they start throwing up, immediately grapple up a tree trunk to escape.

The Perilous Horizontal Wind Blast can easily be dodged by jumping. Be ready as soon as you get back down as the Divine Dragon often does 2 in a row.

The Divine Dragon's overhead strikes hit hard and are done in quick succession. Escape them by running to the left or right, depending on where the Dragon started its attack.
