What Is A Newt Altar?
Pay 1 Lunar Coin To Open Portal To Bazaar
When you locate a Newt Altar, you can pay 1 Lunar Coin to open up a portal to the Bazaar Between Time. In this area, you can unlock the Artificer, purchase Lunar Items, or exchange your items for higher rarity ones.

If you visit 7 unique Newt Altars you'll be able to complete the "Newtist" challenge in Risk of Rain 2. This unlocks an item that can show up when you open chests or use multishop terminals.

Some stages have several spawn locations for Newt Altars. Spawns are completely random and you can have 1-2 Newt Altars per stage, however, there's no assurance of them showing up 100%.
Abandoned Aqueduct - Newt Altar Locations
Location 1 - Mouth Of Skeletal Figure
You can find this Newt Altar at the mouth of the giant skeleton in Abandoned Aqueduct. This is located high above ground level, on top of mountains.
Find Ribboned Road That Leads To Mountains
If you don't have extra jumps or flight equipment, find the road that's cordoned off that leads to the area where the skeleton is. This is the easiest way to get to the Newt Altar.
Location 2 - On Top Of Wall
This Newt Altar can be found on top of the wall with a ledge. This area has has tall stone structures that shadow over the area, compared to the other area where there's wide open desert.
Use Rock Connected To Wall To Get Up
When you see that the Newt Altar has spawned at the top of the wall, go to the left and find the end of the wall. Use the large rock and double jump or use flight equipment to propel yourself up on the wall.
Abyssal Depths - Newt Altar Locations
Location 1 - Glowing Rock Hanging Overhead
This Newt Altar is hidden above the map, on a glowing rock hanging overhead. Be careful as the surface area is bit small and it's hard to land so aim carefully.
Use The Water Geysers Then Double Jump
To get to this location, head to the center of the area and find the water geysers. You need to jump on 2 of them then double jump or use flight equipment to reach the glowing rock.
Location 2 - Inside Glowing Crystal Tunnel
You can find a Newt Altar inside a tunnel in Abyssal Depths. The tunnel is filled with glowing crystals and you'll find the altar behind a rock in a wider area.
Look For Open Tunnel Entrance
The main way to get to this Newt Altar is finding a tunnel entrance. You'll see a small ascending path on the side of the map leading towards the tunnel.
Location 3 - Hidden Crevice Above Tunnel
This Newt Altar spawns near the tunnel entrance where you'll find the 2nd Newt Altar in Abyssal Depths. From the tunnel entrance, it's on the ledge to the right.
Use Giant Chain To Get To Area
The easiest way to find this altar is go up to the platform that have several giant chains leading to different area. Use the giant chain nearest to the tunnel entrance to locate this crevice.

Rallypoint Delta - Newt Altar Locations
Location 1 - Behind Tree, Edge Of Area
This Newt Altar can be found hiding behind a massive tree trunk. Head to the edge of Rallypoint Delta that is overlooking a body of water and you'll find this spot.
Head To Area Edge With Body Of Water
Head to the edge of Rallypoint Delta that's next to a body of water. The body of water has floating icebergs and debris.
Location 2 - Mountain Above Rallypoint Delta
Head to the mountain area of Rallypoint Delta. The Newt Altar is behind a metal scaffolding-like structure overlooking the stage.
Fly Or Double Jump Inside Metal Structure
You need to have double jump or flight equipment to reach this area. Look for the metal scaffolding-like structure and go through it to find the Newt Altar.
Titanic Plains
Location 1 - Under Curved Pillar, Top Of Rock Structure
The Newt Altar can be found on top of a tall rock structure under a large curved pillar.
Needs Double/Triple Jump & Flight Equipment
This Newt Altar is hard to reach due to the height of the rock structure. It's best to check this location only when you have double or triple jump and/or flight equipment.
Wetland Aspect
Location 1 - Behind Rock, Overlooking Ledge
This Newt Altar will be on an upper ledge overlooking the entire Wetland Aspect map. It's at the end and will be located behind a big rock.
Locate Water Geyser To Get To Ledge
Locate the tucked away water geyser and use it to propel yourself high above and onto the ledge where you'll find the Newt Altar.
Location 2 - Underwater, Behind Broken Wall
This Newt Altar can be found underneath some water behind a broken wall in the Wetland Aspect.
Find Opening In Broken Wall
There's a broken wall that bars your path to the altar. Locate the curved/chipped off area and jump or fly over it to get to the Newt Altar.
Location 3 - Top of Broken Column
This Newt Altar can be found on top of a broken column in the Wetland Aspect.
Use Broken Debris To Reach Altar
You can use the fallen & broken columns as stepping stones to get high enough & reach the Newt Altar. Once you're high enough, double jump or use flight equipment to land onto the broken column.
