How To Unlock Commando
First Character You Gain Access To
Commando is the first character / class you gain access to in the game. The moment you start playing Risk of Rain 2, you'll already have the Commando unlocked.

| Soldier's Syringe | The Soldier's Syringe will increase Commando's attack speed, allowing him to make his shots faster. |
| Backup Magazine | The Backup Magazine increases Commando's Phase Round use per stack. This makes it easier for him to crowd control and hit several enemies in a straight line with one shot. |
| Gasoline | Gasoline burns enemies and spreads out when they die. This is great supplement to Commando's single-targeting Double Tap shots. |
| Ukulele | With the chance to do chain lightning attacks, the Ukulele is a great help in defeating hordes of enemies, especially in higher difficulties. |
| Bandolier | The Bandolier gives the chance for enemies to drop ammo packs that reset cooldowns. This is useful for the Commando's Phase Round and Suppressive Fire moves. |
This recommendation is based off Common (White) and Rare (Green) items for ease of finding within the game.
Recommended Equipment
The Ocular HUD provides 100% Critical Strike Chance for every hit for 8 seconds. Since the Commando's Suppressive Fire is more solo-targeting, this is a great way to bring down targets such as bosses & tanky enemies HP fast.
