In order to raise your rank, you must complete Rank Up Challenges. These challenges can be fulfilled either in single/multiplayer co-op, or in Ghost War.

Use Smoke To Escape Enemies
The Panther can make use of Cloak & Run, covering his whereabouts with a plume of smoke. Use this to either escape enemy patrols or evade drones.
Get In Up Close & Personal
With its innate bonus Stealth and Movement Speed, the Panther can infiltrate enemy outposts and stealthily dispatch targets with ease.
