How To Unlock Fast Travel

Unlock Erewhon First

Erewhon

To be able to Fast Travel, you need to finish the main mission, Eagles Down, to unlock Erewhon, the game's hub. From then on, you can open the map anytime and use Fast Travel to go to any unlocked Bivouac, teammate, or back to Erewhon.

How To Fast Travel

1Open MenuOpen the Menu
2TACMAPScroll to the TacMap
3Hover OverHover over Erewhon, a Bivouac, or a teammate
4Fast TravelPress and hold the button to Fast Travel

Can Only Fast Travel Out Of Combat

You can only use Fast Travel whenever you are in a safe spot and out of combat. You cannot fast travel in the middle of a fight.

Fast Travel Tips & Recommendations

Fast Travel May Not Work Inside Structures / Caves

Although you can use Fast Travel inside buildings, using them to immediately meet up with your teammates may sometimes cause you to spawn outside instead.

Use Intel To Unlock Bivouacs

Intel Bivouac

Bivouacs are temporary camps that you can unlock to prepare your gear. You can also use them to Fast Travel. They are unlocked by collecting them as Intel.

You Can Scout Bivouacs

Binoculars Bivouac

Alternatively, you can walk, drive, or fly over Bivouacs, or use your Binoculars to unlock them.

Use Fast Travel To Ride Vehicles

Also, you can use Fast Travel to go to Erewhon and Bivouacs to spawn and ride vehicles. You can use this tactic to spawn vehicles that are appropriate for your current mission or your method of tackling it.

Use Fast Travel To Teammates Effectively!

If you're after multiple objectives, you can split up and use Fast Travel once someone has found your objective. This allows you and your team to effectively cover a wide area without wasting time to reassemble.
