Stat tuning in PvP is mostly fixed on all the advanced classes. The reasoning for this setup is that Swiftness increases your Atk. Speed, Move Speed, and reduces Cooldowns while Domination increases your damage against enemies who are affected with debuffs crowd control effect. The 1 point in Crit is used to enable critical hits in PvP.

Gunlancer Strengths & Weaknesses
Gunlancer Strengths
Very Tanky
The Gunlancer is a very tanky class in nature. Their skills provide a lot of Super Armor, Push Immunity, and Shields which allow them to stay in front and keep on taking damage.
High Stagger
Almost all the of Gunlancer's skills have stagger so you will be passing a majority of the stagger check mechanics in the game unless you are the only one dealing stagger damage.
Gunlancer Weaknesses
High Skill Floor
Since the Gunlancer is a tank class that can deal a lot of damage, it requires a lot of knowledge to perfectly execute. But once you are able to do this you become be nigh-immortal while competing with the damage of DPS classes.
Weak Against Quick Opponents
The Gunlancer doesn't have a lot of movement skills. This make them weak against quick opponents especially if they are ranged. This can also become a problem in PVP situations where a ranged enemy is moving a lot and dodging your crowd control.
