The builds below focuses on the Demonic Impulse Class Engraving for the Shadowhunter. This engraving disables the debuff that you get after using your Demonic Form and allows you to start filling your Shadowburst Meter immediately.

Stat tuning in PvP is mostly fixed on all the advanced classes. The reasoning for this setup is that Swiftness increases your Atk. Speed, Move Speed, and reduces Cooldowns while Domination increases your damage against enemies who are affected with debuffs crowd control effect. The 1 point in Crit is used to enable critical hits in PvP.

When you reach level 20, you should be able to set Thrust Impact to level 10 and a few points in Demonic Slash to get the first tripod. These will be your main skills to use when you are still leveling your character.

Tripods are essential when it comes to the overall power of a skill. Obtaining Tripods should be your focus when leveling up the skills of your chosen class.

Shadowhunter Strengths
High Mobility
Most of the Shadowhunter's skills have a lot of movement which make easy to close in on enemies and also move away when you are caught.
High DPS
Most of the Shadowhunter's skills also have crowd control so it is easy to unleash combos when you catch and enemy in one.
Shadowhunter Weaknesses
No Push Immunity
The Shadowhunter has very little Push Immunity so it is easy to knockdown the Shadowhunter. This can be deadly especially if you opponent has a lot of skills that can knock you down.
Squishy Class
The skills of the Shadowhunter are mainly focused on dealing damage and movement. Most of them don't have Push Immunity or Paralysis Immunity so it is easy to kill a Shadowhunter when they are knocked down.
