How to Get Items for Customization
There's a variety of customization options that you can equip for each hero in Marvel Rivals. These items include Costumes, MVP Animations, Emotes, and Sprays that can be acquired by redeeming a code or purchasing them at the store or battlepass.
How to Change Costumes
It's very easy to change and equip costumes in Marvel Rivals since each costume is a set that includes everything such as the hero's weapons. Here are the steps to change and equip costumes.
From the Main screen, select Heroes. |
The hero selection screen will show up. Select the hero that you want to customize. |
From the Hero Profile screen, select Cosmetics. This tab contains all you need to customize heroes from costumes to sprays. Select a costume you want to equip. You can also press "Z" to inspect and get a closer look at each hero's costumes. |
Select Equip to wear the costume or if you haven't bought a costume yet, select Acquire and it will automatically take you to the store page where you can spend Units to make the purchase. |
How to Set MVP Animation
MVP animations are short clips that play whenever you are declared the MVP at the end of a match. MVP animations are usually part of a bundle, so purchasing them also includes the featured costume, emotes, sprays, and nameplate.
To set the MVP animation, start by choosing a Hero from the hero selection screen.

Choose an MVP animation and select Equip. Congrats! You've now successfully set up an MVP animation! |
How to Equip Emotes and Sprays
Emotes and Sprays can be used to express yourself during matches. Follow these steps to equip them.
Select Emotes or Spray from the Cosmetics tab. |
Choose an Emote or Spray to Equip. The custom wheel for emote and spray will show up. Assign a slot for the selected Emote or Spray. |
To use emotes or sprays in-game, hold "T" and hover the mouse pointer to an emote or spray and release the key to have your character perform the action.
