Practice Range Features
Three Main Aspects
Practice Range Features | |
---|---|
While the Practice Range is pretty big as a whole, the many features can be divided into three main aspects: Simulations, Galacta Bots, and most notably, the Timed Practice area.
Simulations
Hero Simulation
The Hero Simulation is the first thing you will see once you enter the Practice Range. You can select which Hero you want to spawn on the platform, but by default, Luna Snow will be the first Hero that spawns on the platform.
From what we've found, this terminal is mainly useful when testing the damage of your hero against specific heroes, since each hero will remain static, and the simulated Heroes will have the same HP as the original.
Team-Up Ability Simulation
These Terminals can be used to spawn 1 or 2 friendly Heroes that will act according to the Team-Up Ability requirements.
There are two Team-Up Ability Simulation terminals. One is found just past the Hero Simulation terminal, and the other is found in the Timed Practice area.
What Is A Team-Up?Destruction Simulation
The Destruction Simulation terminal is found to the right of the first Team-Up Ability Simulation terminal. Here, you'll find a completely destructible tower that you can reset whenever you want.
From what we can tell, the purpose of this simulation is so that you can test how quickly Heroes and their abilities can break through destructible walls in game.
Goes Hand in Hand with Map Knowledge
Marvel Rivals has a pretty varied amount of maps featuring different objectives for each. This means that familiarity with each map and the terrain can prove to be very advantageous if you can also fully utilize the game's destructible environment.
Ultimate Charges
Exclusive to the Practice Range are Ultimate Charges. These pickups fully recharge your character's Ultimate, which is useful since character Ultimates are not included in the default Practice Settings.
Galacta Bots
Generic Practice Dummies
Galacta Bots are the generic practice dummies that are found throughout the Practice Range. Some of these bots will remain static, other bots will move back and forth between a fixed path, and one set of bots will continuously shoot at each other.
One thing in common between all of these bots is that they will always ignore the player.
Galacta Bot Ultra
There is a sole Galacta Bot Ultra circling the balcony above the first Team-Up Ability Simulation terminal. This is currently the only Ultra
bot we could locate in the range, and there doesn't seem to be anything notable about it other than the fact that it has a much larger HP pool when compared to the regular Galacta Bots.
Timed Practice
Timed Practice Location
The Timed Practice room is found inside the lowest floor of the Practice Range. To get here, follow the stairs down from the Hero Simulation terminal, and go straight until you see an entryway on your right side.
Jump down into the hole with a jump pad, and walk out into the large room to arrive at the Timed Practice area.
How to Start Timed Practice
1 | Access the Parameters Terminal |
---|---|
After walking out into the practice room, you will be greeted by two terminals. Between the two, interact with the one on the right to access the Parameters terminal. | |
2 | Set Your Parameters |
Set the parameters for your training session. You can choose a hero you want to target, their movement type, the range in which they spawn, and the time limit you're setting for yourself. | |
3 | Interact With Control Switch |
Once you're happy with your parameters, exit the terminal and interact with the control switch terminal to begin the practice session. | |
4 | Begin Your Practice |
Once the control switch has been activated, wait for the targets to appear on the shooting range and enjoy your practice! |
