Koen Farming in Arena Breakout. The guide covers recommended equipment, strategies, and farming on Koen's Farm. Use this as your reference when you do Koen Farming.

Table of Contents

What to Bring to a Raid

AK-74N is Recommended

Purchase the recommended weapon, AK-74N, from the Market. Search for one with a scope, and buying the cheapest one available can help reduce costs. The AK-74N is listed frequently, making it easier to find one cheaper than the reference price.

Bring Cost-Effective PP Ammo

Prepare 5.45×39mm PP ammunition. Using Level 3 penetration ammo makes it easier to damage enemies with high armor levels. When bringing ammo into a raid, 120 rounds should be enough to avoid running out. Losing ammo results in a significant loss, so store spare ammo in your secure container.

One Spare Magazine is Enough

With two 30-round magazines, you're unlikely to run out of ammo in a normal fight. Generally, one spare magazine is sufficient. If you're really worried, bringing two is also an option.

It's Okay Not to Equip Armor

When farming Koen, you want to minimize the risk if you get killed, so it's okay not to equip armor. Obtain and equip armor from enemy NPCs or supply spots during the raid.

Get Backpacks Locally

Large-capacity backpacks are expensive, so the loss if you're killed can be significant. Therefore, it's recommended to get backpacks from enemy NPCs locally. If you really want to equip one, purchase a Medium Camping Backpack from a Trader.

Rigs are Essential for Spare Magazines

In addition to storing looted items, rigs are essential for holding spare magazines. If you're concerned about capacity and cost-effectiveness, purchase an RAP Simple Chest Rig for 3,000-4,000 Koen.

Minimum Healing Items are Necessary

When bringing healing items, also bring partially used items or cheap bandages. Having minimal medical supplies is reassuring when fighting enemy NPCs. However, if you're not wearing armor, you likely won't survive being shot, so acquiring healing items locally is also fine.

How to Play After the Raid Starts

Procure Armor

Since you're not wearing any armor, the risk of defeat is high if you're shot by multiple enemies. Procure equipment from enemy NPCs or supply spots to increase your chances of survival even slightly.

Enemy NPCs with good quality equipment tend to spawn at the Motel or Stables. The Motel is also a high-traffic area, so if you're not confident in combat, going to the Stables is recommended.

Locations Where Armor is Directly Placed

Placement Locations

Some landmarks have locations where armor is directly placed. If you spawn nearby while farming Koen, be sure to check if there's any equipment.

Strategies for Earning Koen

Exploration-Focused Playstyle is Recommended

To earn Koen, being able to extract (survive) is a prerequisite. It's recommended to avoid combat with players as much as possible and focus on exploration.

Loot and Sell Enemy NPC Equipment

After defeating an enemy NPC, you might be able to sell their equipment for a high price. Also, if you defeat an Impostor, they often carry valuable items. Always check the belongings of defeated enemies.

Check Pockets

Pockets can occasionally contain large amounts of Koen or grenades. Grenades can be used immediately in combat, and even when sold, they provide a minimum value per slot. Healing items might also be found, so don't forget to check.

Selling Items After Returning from a Raid

Sell Your Items

After returning from a raid, sell the equipment and items you've acquired. Armor of Level 3 or lower can be sold on the Market. If its durability is low, selling it to a Trader is recommended.

Save by Carrying Over Equipment to the Next Raid

If you want to earn more, use the weapons and armor you've acquired in the next raid. Especially healing items and armor can be used freely if they didn't cost you anything. Utilizing equipment obtained from Impostors is also recommended.
