Differences between Contractor (Tactical Ops) and Impostor (Covert Ops) in Arena Breakout. Check this guide to know the features of Arena Breakout's Contractor and Impostor modes.
Table of Contents
Contractor Mode (Tactical Ops)
All Equipment Must Be Self-Supplied

This is a mode where you play by bringing in equipment from your own inventory. If you fail to extract during a raid, such as by dying or running out of time, you will lose all your equipped items.
Note! | Items in your Safe Container or Keychain can be brought back without being lost, even if you die. |
Trader Missions Can Be Progressed
Trader Missions can only be progressed in Contractor mode. By completing tasks, you can earn Player EXP and various items.
Early Raid Deployment Time
You can enter raids earlier than as an Impostor, giving you more time to loot items. If you survive, you can bring back a large amount of supplies.
Easier to Aim for Rare Items
Due to the earlier deployment time, you can reach rare item spawn locations sooner. If you're aiming for rare items, play in Contractor mode.
Impostor Mode (Covert Ops)
Deploy with Random Equipment

In Impostor mode, you deploy with random equipment, so you don't need to prepare items yourself. However, your equipment will be weaker, and you might not even have a bag. It's not well-suited for acquiring a large number of items, but it's recommended if you want to steadily accumulate Koen.
NPCs Are Not Hostile
As an Impostor, NPCs will not be hostile unless you attack them first. It's safer for looting than Contractor mode, making it useful for familiarizing yourself with the map when you're new to the game.
Late Raid Deployment Time
Impostors join matches that have already been in progress for a certain amount of time. The looting time is shorter, so be careful not to run out of time.
Some Trader Missions Do Not Progress
Some Trader Missions cannot be progressed as an Impostor. Generally, if you want to progress missions, you need to play in Contractor mode.
Note! | Missions such as Daily Missions that state 'in any game mode' can be progressed. |
