Fred used to work in civil engineering but started his own business. He attacks with a shotgun in indoor combat and a sniper rifle in open areas. He also possesses a special token, the "Golden Ring".

How to Identify the Boss

Frequently Uses Smoke Grenades

The boss group will use a large number of smoke grenades when they hear your footsteps. They throw them all at once, making it easy to tell if the boss is present.

Many Henchmen Appear Around Him

Fred is accompanied by a large number of henchmen. If you detect many sound signatures at the "Northridge Hotel" or "Sewage Treatment Plant," suspect the boss. Once you know the boss is there, act cautiously without moving around too much.

Difficult to Judge by Appearance

If you see an enemy with a white beard and no face shield, it's likely Fred. However, if you confront him, you'll be under concentrated fire, so there's no time to judge by appearance.

Boss Strategy Guide

Always Use Cover

The boss group has a very long detection range for players and high accuracy even at a distance. Encountering them in an area without cover often results in instant death. Use room corners and other cover, and fight back using lean.

Use Grenades

In a firefight, the enemy's shooting accuracy is high, making it easy to be critically injured. If your armor level is low, there's a risk of instant death. Since they can penetrate cover and deal damage, if possible, use grenades to take them down.

Aim for Headshots

If you don't have grenades, aim for headshots to increase your kill speed. The boss group has high shooting accuracy, so prolonged battles tend to be disadvantageous. Shortening the time it takes to kill one enemy will also lead to an increase in survival rate.

Fred uses three types of weapons, and which one he is equipped with is random. Regardless of which weapon he has, the ammunition's penetration level is high, so try to maneuver in a way that minimizes hits.

Ammunition Can Be Sold for a High Price

The ammunition carried by the boss is traded at a reasonably high price. You can take it back and sell it, but it's also recommended to load it into your own weapon and use it.

Henchmen's Equipment

The henchmen use P90 and FAL weapons, both loaded with Level 3 penetration ammunition. The FAL, in particular, has high base damage, so you need to be wary of your surroundings to avoid being ambushed. To gain an advantage in combat, you'll want to enter the raid with high-penetration ammunition.
