Use Animation Cancel Combo
One of the best combos to do with Human Torch is a series of Animation cancels. To do this, use his Primary and soon as it comes out, cancel the animation with Blazing Blast, and once again, cancel the animation with Flaming Meteor to land on top of the enemy and detonate the flaming field. This combo can take out enemy Squishies in an instant.
Separate Frontlines and Backlines
As Human Torch, your primary role is to create a clear separation between enemy frontlines and backlines. By preventing enemy Strategists from healing their Vanguards, their formation will crumble and you'll make it easy for your allies to eliminate their targets easier.
