Fight Together in Battles
Each time you engage in combat on a stage, the Rapport of all members in the unit increases by 5. Note that Rapport only increases from battles during stages, not from battles in the Coliseum or encounters on the field.
Give Gifts
Giving gifts obtained from quest rewards or item shops to characters stationed as guards will increase their Rapport with Alain. Giving a character their favorite item will double the Rapport gained, so be sure to check their preferences before giving a gift.
Eat Meals at the Tavern
By eating meals together at a Tavern, you can increase Rapport between characters. The number of people who can eat together and the amount of Rapport gained varies depending on the meal, and towns in later parts of the game allow you to earn more Rapport in a single meal.
Taverns Are Only Available in Castles and Cities
Taverns are only found in large towns such as castles and cities. You can tell if a town has a Tavern by its icon on the map or the number of ★s.
Merits of Increasing Rapport
Perform the Rite of Covenant
Characters who have reached maximum Rapport with Alain can perform the Rite of Covenant by progressing through the main quest "The Unicorn and the Maiden." Performing the Rite of Covenant will enhance the abilities of the Unicorn Ring and the Maiden's Ring, so be sure to complete it before the final battle.
Maximum Rapport is 900
Rapport has three stages: the first stage at 100, the second stage at 400, and the third stage (MAX Rapport) at 900.
Unit Bonuses Occur
When Rapport with a unit member exceeds one gauge, a unit bonus that increases stats will occur. The stats that increase differ by class, and the higher the Rapport, the greater the bonus.
Rapport Conversations are Unlocked
In Rapport conversations, you can view related stories between characters. After viewing the story, you will receive 2 Honors.
Check Rapport Locations on Map
Open the world map and press the left/right buttons to display the locations of available Rapport conversations. Select the desired pair to move to the conversation's location.
Additionally, once viewed, Rapport conversations can be replayed anytime from the Rapport Conversations menu.
Some Conversations Become Dreams Post-Covenant
After performing the Rite of Covenant with a female character, the final conversation with some female characters will become a dream sequence. The content of the conversation itself does not change, so it can be considered a small hidden element.
