Story Progression Chart

| 1 | After the cutscene, your controllable character switch to Joel. Head outside of the building |
| 2 | Defeat hunters and proceed until the cutscene. Resist enemies by pressing □ |
| 3 | You will switch back to Ellie. Hide from enemies and proceed |
| 4 | Find an opening from the back of the cabin and climb up by using dumpster. Once you get out of the building, a cutscene will start |
| 5 | Defeat David |
| 6 | Now it's Joel's turn again. Proceed and search for a motel-looking building with a bathroom. Hope out of the bathroom window and find a shiv door on your left to get Training Manual: Smoke Shaping |
| 7 | Proceed more until you find Ellie's backpack. Check your right to get Meat Ledger |
| 8 | Get out of the building and watch the cutscene of Ellie killing David |
How To Beat David
Once you've spotted by David, he will run toward you. Try to take distance from him and hide so that he will lose you. Then, sneak up behind him and stab him a knife from behind.
Don't Step On The Broken Dishes
Try not to step on the broken dishes on the floor. Stepping on the will make clutter sound and David will spot where you are.
6. Get Training Manual: Smoke Shaping
Find a motel-looking building with bathroom. Step out of the bathroom from the window and open the shiv door on your left to get Training Manual: Smoke Shaping.
6. Get Meat Ledger
Right next to Ellie's backpack, you can find Meat Ledger on the shelf.
