Outside (Chapter 3: The Outskirts) Walkthrough Guide
Story Progression Chart

| 1 | Once you've reached the ground level, turn around and check the dead body nearby the stairs and get Firefly Orders |
| 2 | Move the dumpster and place it on the corner of the area to climb up |
| 3 | In the flooded area in front of the capitol building, there is a gazebo. Search inside of the gazebo to get Firefly Pendant |
| 4 | Enter the capitol building and watch the cutscene |
| 5 | After the cutscene, go upstairs and proceed. Before you jump to the building next door, loot the room to get supplements |
| 6 | Get Hunting Rifle by the dead body |
| 7 | Defeat (or overdo) soldiers and go downstairs |
| 8 | Defeat (or overdo) soldiers again and exit the building. Take the stairs down the subway station |
| 9 | Defeat (or overdo) soldiers in the subway station. Proceed by walking on the railway |
| 10 | When you reach the area with water, swim to proceed. There are some part where you need to dive underwater. Once you get to certain point, Ellie will appear with a flashlight |
| 11 | Rejoin with Ellie. Nearby her, there is a dead body and a Smuggler Note next to it |
| 12 | Proceed by swimming again. There is a Firefly Pendant underwater so dive inside of the submerged room and search the shelf |
| 13 | Find a floating pallet and bring it to Ellie. Let her jump on it and take her across so she can get the ladder for you |

1. Get Firefly Orders
After you've reached the ground level by stairs, turn around and check near the dead body to get Firefly Orders.
2. Use The Dumpster As A Step
Place the dumpster on the corner and use it as a step to climb up the wall.
3. Get Firefly Pendant In The Gazebo
Before you enter the capitol building, you will find a gazebo in front of the capitol building. Search inside of the gazebo and you'll find a Firefly Pendant sinking in the water.
4. Get Firefly Pendant In The Museum
Right after you've move to the upper floor by climbing up the slope, turn left and press X to climb up the narrow area. Walk along the wall and get Firefly Pendant.
7. How To Deal With Soldiers In The Capitol Building (Upstair)
You can ambush the enemies but the smartest way is just overdo them. After you get the rifle, enter the room on your left. Keep moving left until you reach the hallway. Proceed the hallway and enter the room at the end of the hallway.
▲Exit that room and turn left.
▲Overdo soldiers and head to the exit.
8. How To Deal With Soldiers In The Capitol Building (Downstair)
Once you get to the lower floor, there are two path you can take. We recommend taking the path far from you.
▲Wait for soldiers to pass by
▲Sneak up and take the office in your way
▲Exit the building and head to the subway entrance
10. Dive Underwater To Proceed
When you reached the flooded area in the subway station, you sometimes encounter the dead end. You can proceed by diving underwater by pressing ○ button. You can leave Ellie alone because she will rejoin you automatically once you reached to a certain point.
11. Get Smuggler Note
After Ellie found her flashlight, rejoin with her. Find a dead body laying near by Ellie to get a Smuggler Note.
12. Get Firefly Pendant In The Submerged Room
After you get a Smuggler Note, there is a narrow path which you can explore by diving underwater. When you dive, you will find a submerged room. Check the shelf located in this room to get Firefly Pendant.
13. Use Wood Pallet To Carry Ellie
In order to proceed, you need to get the wooden pallet floating on the water and bring it to Ellie. Ellie will ride this pallet so carry her across so that she can get the ladder for you.
