You can find Charles Chatonay in the saloon on the northeast side of Saint Denis. You'll automatically begin the mission once you head into the saloon.

The gallery where Charles is having his exhibit is in the building near the Barber's and the Photo Studio.

Don't forget to use the "Block" button to defend yourself. Enemies who hit you continuously can do serious damage and may even knock you out.
