This Stranger Mission will only appear on your minimap after you finish the Chapter 4 Mission: The Joys of Civilization. Be sure to have this story mission done or else this Stranger will not appear!

You will be able to find the Doctor behind his Wagon on the Northern outskirts of Saint Denis. He will be a bit tricky to look for because he is holed up behind his wagon, which in turn is behind a fence at the back of a house!

2. Ask About Moonshine
While talking to the clerk in the Post Office, there will be an option that lets you ask about moonshine. Choose this option to make him hand over the note to you.

2. You Can Opt To Negotiate For A Lower Price
Initially, the Lawman will offer you a permit for 0 dollars. However, you may also choose to haggle down the price.*
This was successfully done during the walkthrough. There is no situation wherein the Lawman will deny you the discount as of now.

| 3 | Chase down McDaniels as he tries to escape and capture him |

2. Use Shotguns To Kill The Nearby Outlaws
Shotguns will be your best bet at killing these outlaws since most of them will be close to each other in the camp. Since Shotguns deal very high damage in close quarters, bring one with you to make quick work of McDaniels' friends.

Use a lasso to stop McDaniels from getting away. It will make him fall off his horse, and will give you the chance to hogtie him so he won't be able to run away anymore!
