Liberate Outposts To Get Ethanol
Liberating Outposts will reward you with Ethanol that you can use to upgrade your Prosperity. Additional Ethanol is rewarded to players that are able to liberate the outpost without being detected.

Once you scavenge a liberated outpost, you will get more Ethanol. Highwaymen will then retake the outpost and fortify it, making it harder to liberate. However, this is another opportunity for you to liberate the outpost for more Ethanol.
Loot Supply Drops to Get Ethanol
Supply Drops can be found while exploring in Hope County. These are yellow boxes, with a plume of yellow smoke rising from it. Loot it to get some Ethanol. However, be careful as there may be Highwaymen guarding the Supply Drop.
Deliver Ethanol Tankers To Your Outposts
Ethanol Tankers are black Tanker Trucks with "Ethanol" scribbled on the side with white paint. Take out the driver and commandeer the truck. Delivering it to any liberated Outpost, or Prosperity will reward you with Ethanol.
WARNING: The Tanker Can Explode
Be careful when taking out the driver as it may damage the truck. When the Tanker takes enough damage, it will then explode. You can opt to use a Repair Torch to remove the damage inflicted on the Ethanol Truck.
Use Companions To Take Out The Tanker Driver
You can command Guns For Hire to take out the driver of the Ethanol Truck for you. Nana is recommended to help you out since she can shoot at the driver from a distance without damaging the Truck.

Ethanol is a valuable resource in Far Cry New Dawn. Its main use is to upgrade the Prosperity Homebase to improve its facilities.
