Ethan's Soul - Mission Tips & Tricks
1. Upgrade Your Infirmary, Workbench and Medkit Capacity
The fight with Ethan will be tough so make sure you've upgraded the Infirmary Facility to improve your health. Make sure to upgrade your Workbench as well to be able to craft Elite weapons. Also get the More Medkit perk.
You Can Fast Travel After Your Preparation
It might not be apparent, but you can fast travel to the mission at a fast travel point nearby.
3. Fight Ethan From A Distance With Elite Weapons
Ethan's transformation is an Elite level enemy, so now's the time to craft Elite level weapons as well to be able to beat him. We recommend the Blunderbuss MG42 for high DPS and high magazine capacity.
Hit His Weakspot For Maximum Damage
There's a glowing red crack in his torso area, back and sides, which serve as his weakspot. Aim for this spot when fighting him.
Run To The Side When He Rushes Towards You
The area you're fighting him in has a wide open space for you to run to in case he rushes. Make sure to run away from his rush and jump attack and always keep your distance.
Watch Out For His Ranged Attack
As soon as he starts picking up a rock from the ground, start running to the side to avoid damage.
Don't Waste Your Ammo When He's Invulnerable
At certain points during the fight, he will scream and seem to charge up. He will be invulnerable at this state so don't waste your ammo. He Will be glowing brightly at this state.
4. Kill or Spare Joseph Seed
At the end of the fight, there will be a series of cutscenes leading to the choice of killing Joseph Seed. You can ignore the prompt to spare him. This is more of a story choice, and there are no gameplay or major plot changes after this choice.
5. Fast Travel To Prosperity To Go To Rush's Grave
After making the choice to kill or spare Joseph, you can fast travel to prosperity. Reach Rush's grave to trigger the cutscene. You've now completed Far Cry New Dawn!
