What Is Enhancement?
Stat Boost for Weapon and Armor

Enhancement is how you upgrade your gear's base stats in The Forge. Enhancement increases damage, defense, and unlocks rune slots, but it doesn't come without a catch since it gets expensive and the chances of success become risky at higher levels. To start enhancing a weapon, you'll need to find the Enhancer.
Where to Find the Enhancer
Located Across the Runemaker

To upgrade your weapons and armor in Roblox The Forge, you're going to need the services of the enhancer. An enhancer makes use of essences and gold to upgrade your weapon and armor. You can find the enhancer's shop across the runemaker's shop in every city in The Forge.

Every time you successfully enhance a piece of gear, it goes from +0 to +1, then +1 to +2, and so on.
Note! | If an Enhancement fails, your gear drops one level. For example: +4 → +3, and you lose the materials you paid for the enhancement, but your gear never breaks or disappears. |

Enhancement Success Rates
| Enhancement Level | Success Rate |
|---|---|
| 0 to +1 | 100% |
| +1 to +2 | 100% |
| +2 to +3 (Unlocks 1st Rune Slot) | 70% |
| +3 to +4 | 60% |
| +4 to +5 | 50% |
| +5 to +6 (Unlocks 2nd Rune Slot) | 45% |
| +6 to +7 | 45% |
Your first two upgrades are guaranteed, but success rates drop significantly after +2. The enhancer will show you the crafting chances before you confirm, so always check it before proceeding. You can also start adding runes once your weapon or armor reached +3.
Note! | The cost of enhancement varies depending on the equipment type and rarity that you have forged. Higher levels of rarity will require rarer essences. |

You Need to Defeat Monsters

| Essence | How to Get and Drop Chances |

| Tiny Essence | Zombie (1/3); Delver Zombie (1/2); Elite Zombie (1/1); Skeleton Rogue (1/2) |
| Small Essence | Zombie (1/3); Delver Zombie (1/3); Elite Zombie (1/3); Skeleton Rogue (1/4) |
| Medium Essence | Zombie (1/6); Delver Zombie (1/6); Elite Zombie (1/4); Brute Zombie (1/3); Bomber (1/4); Skeleton Rogue (1/6); Axe Skeleton (1/4) |

| Epic Essence | Deathaxe Skeleton (1/15); Elite Rogue Skeleton (1/15); Elite Deathaxe Skeleton (1/15); Blight Pyromancer (1/12); Reaper (1/5); Blazing Slime (1/5) |
As you gain higher levels of enhancements, so too does the rarity of essence that you need, and beating zombies and skeleton rogues can only provide as much. To get rarer essences, you need to defeat high-level monsters such as Blazing Slimes or Reapers, which can be found in the Volcanic Depths in Forgotten Kingdom.
Tip! | By taking side quests from NPCs like Captain Rowan, you can farm essences and earn additional levels and gold at the same time. |
