2. Infestation Nest Preparation Tips
Bring Full Auto Weapons
Make sure to bring a submachine gun, assault rifle or machine gun as well to deal with the exiting Freakers, and for a potential Horde encounter at the 3rd Nest later on.

Make sure to loot the nearby NERO Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway Checkpoint for crafting supplies. It contains ingredients for Molotovs and Napalm Molotovs that you'll need for a later Horde encounter.
Clear Ambush Camps To Reveal Nest Locations
Infestation Nests will only appear if you're close to one and you'll have to manually search the entire Infestation Zone. Clearing Ambush camps will mark all nearby nests, making them easier to spot.

1st Nest Is Inside A Red House
The first Nest can be found inside a red house. Aim your molotov towards the window where the nest creeps out.
2nd Nest Is Inside A Barn
From the first nest, head east and look for a small barn. The nest will be inside that barn.
3rd Nest Is Up A Hill Inside A Cave
From the 2nd nest, head south and up a hill and look for a cave on the left. Burn the nest down with your molotov.
3rd Nest Contains The Rimview Ranch Horde
At daytime, the Rimview Ranch Horde rests here, so prepare accordingly. Entering the nest will spawn the Horde.
Kill Exiting Freakers
Freakers will come out of their nest after burning it. More Freakers come out during the morning, while burning nests at night results to fewer but stronger Freakers.
Pick Up Residue Bolts Inside The Nest
After the nest is completely burned down, make sure to get the Nest Residue. This lets you craft Residue Bolts which turns enemies against each other.
