Before Clearing Out Freaker Nests
Come Prepared With Weapons
Before clearing out Freaker Nests, you must come fully equipped to handle any situation. You may need to bring lots of Molotovs, and a variety of weapons to be able to handle the amount of enemies coming your way.
Molotovs To Burn Nests
You will first need a lot of Molotov cocktails. These will help you initiate the burning of the nests, and will sometimes set Freakers on fire, lowering their health, and making them easier to deal with.
Ranged & Melee Weapons To Deal With Freakers
Having both a ranged and melee weapon will be helpful so that you will be able to deal with Freakers coming at you from different ranges!
Explosives To Crowd Control Enemies
It will also be helpful to bring along some explosive equipment to help you control a crowd of Freakers. Having a few Frag Grenades can allow you to deal a ton of damage to several Freakers in an area.
Choose When To Clear Out Freaker Nests
Timing is also a factor when clearing out Freaker Nests. Clearing out Nests during the day will spawn more Freakers, but are weakened by the light. Clearing out Nests in the night will spawn less Freakers, but they will be stronger.

Step 1: Plan Out Your Route
Once you are in the Freaker Nest area, plan out your route in order to efficiently take out all Freaker Nests. Nests are marked by a red Biohazard icon on your Minimap so use it as a reference when planning your route.
Step 2: Throw A Molotov At A Freaker Nest
Once you've planned out what route to take, head to the first Nest, and throw a Molotov cocktail to begin burning the Nest.
Step 3: Deal With Any Freakers That Emerge
While the Nest is burning, Freakers will emerge. Use your weapons to deal with the few of them that avoid getting burned, and let the fire consume the others to conserve ammo.
