Clear Marauder Camp Missions
One of the main ways to unlock Craft Recipes is to clear out Marauder Camps. Getting to certain percentages will unlock Craft Recipes for weapons and throwables.
Complete Storyline Missions
Completing storylines in Days Gone can also unlock Craft Recipes. You can check the overview per storyline to check which rewards Craft Recipes.

Recipes That Allow You To Craft Weapons, Ammo, & Items
Craft Recipes are lists of ingredients & materials in-game that allow you to create weapons, special ammo, recover items, and explosives.
Recipes Show Up In Survival Wheel
Once you unlock a Craft Recipe, these will be available in the Survival Wheel. You can check which ones you have unlocked by holding down the L1 button.
