1. Bring Molotovs and Full Auto Weapons

Bring Molotovs and Full Auto Weapons

Make sure to bring Molotovs with you in order to burn down the Nests. Take a submachine gun, assault rifle or machine gun as well to deal with the exiting Freakers.

2. Clearing Ambush Camps Reveals Infestation Locations

Clearing Ambush Camps Reveals Infestation Locations

Infestation Nests will only appear if you're close to one and you'll have to manually search the entire Infestation Zone. Clearing Ambush camps will mark all nearby nests, making them easier to spot.

3. Clear Out 3 Freaker Nests at Tumblebug River - Tips

1st Nest Is Inside a Small Cave Near A Firetruck

1st Nest Is Inside a Small Cave

The first Nest can be found inside a cave. Look for a nearby firetruck on the road and the the cave should just be nearby.

2nd Nest Is Under The Bridge

2nd Nest Is Under The Bridge

Go under the bridge and the nest will be inside another cave nearby.

3rd Nest Is Inside A White Truck

3rd Nest Is Inside A White Truck

From the 2nd nest, head a few ways southeast of the bridge until you find a white truck. The Freaker Nest should be at the back of the truck.

Prepare For Exiting Freakers

Prepare For Exiting Freakers

Freakers will come out of their nest after burning it. More Freakers come out during the morning, while burning nests at night results to fewer but stronger Freakers.

Don't Immediately Leave The Nest

Don

After the nest is completely burned down, make sure to get the Nest Residue. This lets you craft Residue Bolts which turns enemies against each other.
