This article is about the types and features of rarities in MLB RIVALS (Rivals). It details the features and how to obtain each rarity, such as HOF, Signature, and Prime.

Signature Features

Player's Initial OVR is High

Signature players have higher initial stats compared to players of other rarities. Therefore, Signature players from your favorite team, which receive a Deck Score bonus, are less likely to be removed from the lineup. It's also viable to include Signature players from teams other than your favorite team in the lineup.

+1 All Stats with Each Level Increase

For Signature players, all stats increase by 1 each time the enhancement level goes up. The success rate of enhancement is lower compared to other rarities, but a successful enhancement can significantly increase OVR.

Deck Score Increases by 20

Including a Signature player in the lineup increases the Special Deck Score by 20. If the player is from your favorite team, the Team Deck Score also increases by 20. Furthermore, through Special Training, it's possible to increase both Team Deck Score and Special Deck Score by up to 6 each.

Choose 2 Stats for Training Redistribution

Training Redistribution is a feature that redistributes stats randomly increased through training. You can also choose the stat that will become the lowest. Only Signature players can select two stats to become the lowest during Training Redistribution.

Moment Features

Can Acquire Exclusive Gold Tier Skills

Moment cards can acquire exclusive Gold Tier skills corresponding to their respective themes. These exclusive Gold Tier skills have a certain chance to appear as the first skill when using a Premium Skill Change Ticket.

Skill Level Protection Always Active

Moment cards always have the skill level protection feature active during skill changes, so skill levels will not decrease. This allows you to save Skill Level Protection Tickets, so feel free to change skills actively.

Can Unlock Additional Potential Abilities

For Moment cards, additional potential abilities for each theme can be unlocked during Transcendence. It's easier to unlock the upper limit of potential abilities compared to other cards, allowing you to develop players who are effective during manual play.

Deck Score Can Increase Up to 24

The initial Deck Score for Moment cards is 14. Moment cards can undergo Special Training up to level 5, so the Deck Score can increase up to 24.

Prime Features

Can Lock the First Skill

Prime players can lock their first skill. A locked skill's rank and content will not change during skill changes. It's easier to get desired skills compared to other rarities, so it's recommended to prioritize skill changes for Prime players in your lineup.

Deck Score Increases by 16

Including a Prime player in the lineup increases the Special Deck Score by 16. If the player is from your favorite team, the Team Deck Score also increases by 16. Furthermore, by performing Special Training, you can increase both Team Deck Score and Special Deck Score by up to 6 each.

Impact Features

Easier to Obtain Among Special Players

Impact players are easier to obtain compared to Signature or Prime players. Acquired players can be used for stat inheritance to players with higher stats, or as materials for Limit Break or Special Training. Therefore, they are less likely to go to waste even if not included in the lineup.

Deck Score Increases by 13

Including an Impact player in the lineup increases the Special Deck Score by 13. If the player is from your favorite team, the Team Deck Score also increases by 13. Like other Special players, they can undergo Special Training, allowing you to increase both Team Deck Score and Special Deck Score by up to 6 each.

LIVE Features

Team Deck Score & Stats Change with LIVE Updates

For LIVE players, Team Deck Score and stats may fluctuate with each LIVE update. Stats change based on the actual performance of the players. Players not currently in your lineup might become stronger in the future, so it's not recommended to use them as player development materials or Crafting materials.

Season Card Updates with Season Change

LIVE players change to "Season" cards when the current season ends. In the next season, the Team Deck Score might decrease, so you'll need to collect LIVE players again.

Team Deck Score Increases by 8-30

The Team Deck Score for LIVE players is allocated between 8 and 30 based on the actual player's performance. The benefit of the Deck Score is significant, so it's viable to include LIVE players in the lineup to increase the Deck Score even if their stats are low.

Special Deck Score is Not Added

Special Deck Score is only added when Special players are included in the lineup. Since LIVE players are not Special players, Special Deck Score is not added

How to Obtain

Season Features

Easier to Obtain Compared to Other Rarities

Season players have more acquisition opportunities compared to other rarities. Even if you get duplicate players, they can be used for LIVE/Season Limit Breaks. Also, they are less likely to go to waste as they can be used as crafting materials for items in the Crafting menu.

Can Also Be Used as Player Enhancement Material

Since Season players are frequently obtained, it's also recommended to use them for enhancing players in your lineup. However, the players that can be used as material differ depending on the enhancement level and rarity of the player being enhanced.

Team Deck Score Increases by 4-20

When Season players are included in the lineup, the Team Deck Score increases by 4-20 depending on the player. Since Season players have low stats, it's recommended to replace them once you obtain players with higher Deck Scores or stats.

Special Deck Score is Not Added

Like LIVE players, Season players do not add to the Special Deck Score.
