This article covers the top players to aim for when rerolling in MLB RIVALS. It also explains why you should reroll, recommended gachas, and the rerolling procedure.
Top Players for Rerolling
Rarity | Recommendation |
---|---|
Key players from your favorite team Signature/Moment/Prime | ★★★★★ |
Top-tier players from any team Signature/Prime | ★★★★・ |
Non-key players from your favorite team Signature/Prime | ★★★・・ |
Key players from your favorite team Impact | ★★★・・ |
Key players (S Rank) from your favorite team LIVE/Season | ★★・・・ |
Aim for Key Players from Your Favorite Team
When rerolling, aim for key Signature/Moment/Prime players from your favorite team. Even for the same player, performance can vary greatly by year, so it's recommended to get the key player from their strongest year.
Tips! | Players from your favorite team receive a deck score bonus that grants buff effects, so prioritize acquiring them. |
Moment and Prime Players Can Also Perform Well
Signature is the highest rarity for players and offers the best performance, but Moment and Prime players are easier to build because their skills are easier to optimize. There's no significant performance difference in the early game, so if you get a key Moment or Prime player during rerolling, you can proceed with the game without issues.
Consider Players with Top Performance Across All Teams
By using top-tier players from other teams, you can add to your deck score just like with players from your favorite team. If you can get a top-tier player from another team during rerolling, it's a perfectly good reason to stop rerolling.
High-Rarity Non-Key Players Are Not Recommended
Even for high-rarity players like Signature or Prime, non-key players are likely to be removed from the lineup in the future, so acquiring them during rerolling is not recommended. However, they can be used as materials for crafting high-rarity cards for your own team at the Workshop, so they can be considered as a compromise if you want to stop rerolling.
Impact Cards Have Poor Training Efficiency
While Impact cards can be useful in the early game, their low deck score means they are likely to be removed from the main lineup in the future. Furthermore, if you later obtain a higher rarity card of the same player, the training materials used will be wasted. Consider them as a reroll compromise for those who want to start the game quickly.
LIVE/Season Cards Are Easy to Obtain
LIVE/Season cards are frequently available, and even high-ability S-rank players can be obtained early on as you progress through the game. There's no need to insist on getting key LIVE/Season cards during rerolling.
Recommended Gachas
Gacha Selection Guide
Gacha | Features |
---|---|
Pick Up Scout | - Recommended for those who want to get Prime players - Only pick-up players appear as Primes - Prime appearance rate is 1% - Signature and Impact players do not appear - Pick-up players change every 14 days - Two types of gachas are available: Fielder and Pitcher |
Premium Scout | - Recommended for those who want to get Signature players - The highest rarity, Signature, appears - Signature player appearance rate is 0.05% - Total rewards are generous |
Aim for Specific Players with Pick Up Scout
In the PICK UP Scout, when a Prime player appears, it is guaranteed to be a pick-up player. Prime players are characterized by their ease of skill optimization because their skills can be locked. Also, since the Prime appearance rate is slightly higher compared to other gachas, it's a viable option for rerolling.
Pick-up Players Change Every 14 Days
In the PICK UP Scout, the pick-up players change every 14 days. Since the pick-up players might change while you are rerolling, it's recommended to pull other gachas if key players are currently featured.
If Aiming for Signature, Go for Premium Gacha
In the PREMIUM Scout, the highest rarity Signature players appear. However, the appearance rate is 0.05%, and it's not guaranteed that a player from your favorite team will appear. Getting a Signature player from the start is very powerful, but the low appearance rate means rerolling can take a long time.
Starting with a Prime Player from Your Favorite Team is Viable
Prime players also appear in the PREMIUM Scout. It's a viable strategy to aim for Signature players but stop rerolling if you get a Prime player from your favorite team.
Should You Reroll?
You Should Reroll to Progress Efficiently
Depending on the player's rarity, the stat increase from training and the benefits gained when included in the lineup differ. The more high-rarity players you have, the easier it is to build a strong team, so there's significant value in obtaining key high-rarity players from the start of the game.
Each Reroll Takes About 3 Minutes
When rerolling, there is no need to reinstall the app. Also, since the tutorial can be skipped, each attempt takes about 3 minutes.
Best Time to Reroll is When High-Rarity Player Packs Are Distributed
If Signature/Prime packs are being distributed through events, etc., it's an especially good time to reroll. Try to get key high-rarity players as much as possible to start the game with an advantage.
