How to Choose a Team

Choose a Team with Your Favorite Players

While each team has implemented players and OVR (a strength indicator), this can be overcome with development. It's recommended to choose a team with your favorite players or team rather than picking based on strong players or teams.

OVR Differences Are Planned to Gradually Decrease

Official patch notes have stated that the differences between each team will be reduced. Rather than choosing a team because it's currently strong, you're more likely to be satisfied in the long run by picking your favorite team.

Strategy Team's Recommended Favorite Teams

Los Angeles Dodgers

The Dodgers are the 2024 World Champion team, featuring the MVP trio of Shohei Ohtani, Betts, and Freeman. Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Roki Sasaki are also on the team. They are making reinforcements to aim for a consecutive championship in 2025, and look to remain a top MLB team in the future.

New York Yankees

A prestigious team featuring Judge, MLB's current strongest hitter. Japanese players like Hideki Matsui, Masahiro Tanaka, and Hiroki Kuroda have played for them. Many legendary players have been part of the team, and it can be said that the more unreleased players are implemented, the stronger this team will become.

Houston Astros

A team with overwhelmingly strong pitching abilities among implemented players. They can form a starting rotation with players OVR (in-game strength indicator) 70 or higher. It's also reassuring that their fielders' abilities are rated above the major league average. If you want to play centered around dominant pitching, the Astros are recommended.

Your Favorite Team is the Best

Although there are some differences due to in-game ratings, it's possible to overcome them with player development and user skill. Rather than choosing based on team strength, choose your favorite team and build it into a strong team yourself.
