What is Upgrading?
Training Element for Stat Increase
Upgrading is a training element where specific stats increase based on rarity. Use OVR cards and player cards as training materials to train high-rarity main players.
Maximum OVR Increase from Upgrading
*Max value when upgrade stage is +20
Rarity | Max OVR Increase |
---|---|
HOF (HALL OF FAME) | 25 |
Signature | 25 |
Prime/Moment | 20 |
Impact | 16 |
LIVE | 13 |
Season | 13 |
Upgrades Needs a Large Amount of Points
In addition to material cards, upgrading requires a large amount of points. As the upgrade stage progresses, the success rate decreases, so be aware that the number of attempts will increase, consuming many points.
Full Potential Unlock at Level 10
With the v2.05.00 update, reaching upgrade level 10 now allows all potential ability caps to be unlocked. It's easier to unlock the caps even in the early stages, so actively upgrade potential abilities.
Which Players to Prioritize?
Upgrade Main Lineup Players Evenly
Player to Train | Priority |
HOF (Hall of Fame) Card | ★★★★★ |
Favorite Team's Signature | ★★★★★ |
Favorite Team's Prime | ★★★★★ |
Favorite Team's Impact | ★★★★☆ |
LIVE/Season with Deck Score of 20+ | ★★★★☆ |
LIVE/Season with Deck Score of 19 or less | ★★★☆☆ |
As the upgrade stage increases, the probability of success decreases, and a large amount of training material is required. If you only upgrade the same players, it will be difficult to raise the team's OVR, so it is recommended to upgrade the special cards in your main lineup evenly.
Focus on Prime or Best-Year Players
Upgrading requires a very large amount of training material, so be conservative when upgrading players who may be removed from the lineup in the future. It's okay to actively upgrade players who are Prime or higher and are in their best year.
Upgrade with Advanced Limit Breaks
The upgrade cap can be unlocked through Limit Break. Players who have undergone Limit Break have a large potential for growth, so prioritizing their upgrade is also an option.
Efficient Way to Upgrade
Keep OVR Boosters for Higher Success
The OVR Booster accumulates each time you upgrade, and the success rate increases as it reaches a certain value. Especially for high-rarity cards, the upgrade success rate is low, so the process involves saving OVR Booster and then proceeding with the upgrade.
Align Material OVR to Multiples of 50
The OVR Booster increases by +1 for every 50 total OVR of materials. Adjust the total OVR so it doesn't exceed multiples of 50 too much, and efficiently save the booster.
Recommended Material Card Combinations
Booster (Total OVR) | Material Cards |
Booster +7 (Total OVR 350) | - OVR 65 Card x4 - OVR 90 Card x1 |
Booster +7 (Total OVR 355) | - OVR 65 Card x2 - OVR 75 Card x3 |
Booster +8 (Total OVR 400) | - OVR 75 Card x4 - OVR 100 Card x1 |
Booster +8 (Total OVR 405) | - OVR 75 Card x3 - OVR 90 Card x2 |
Select Materials from Low OVR Cards
As the upgrade stage progresses, the OVR of the required materials increases. In particular, save LIVE/Season S players and cards with OVR 70 or higher for when the upgrade stage is advanced.
When to Use Badges
Use Success Badge When Rate Below 10%
The Upgrade Success Badge is an item that increases the success rate of upgrades. When the upgrade stage is low, the probability is high even without using a badge, so it is recommended to use it when the upgrade success rate is less than 10 percent.
Sometimes Use Duplicate as Material
The Upgrade Great Success Badge is an item that increases the rate of great success in upgrades. Use it when using a same-name player as material to increase the chance of a great success.
Stat Increase Values by Rarity
Stat Increase Values Differ by Rarity
The stat increase from upgrading differs for each rarity. Higher rarity cards have a larger stat increase, so prioritize their upgrade.
