Use Your New Surfboard!

Remember, you are now able to traverse bodies of water with your new Surfboard, so make sure to explore areas on the map where you see water. For example, in the lake marked on the image above you can find a chest with 5 TemCards. More importantly, however, in that same lake you can catch the Water/Electric type Nessla! Make sure to catch it before you continue with the quest!

2. Talk To Tihani In Tuquesca
Head over to the city to the east & speak to Tihani in order to get a ticket for the airship!
Do Sidequests

This is a good opportunity to do Sidequests around Deniz! A particularly important one to pick up is in the house on the island to the south of the river. You will be able to pick up 3 quests here to talk to people all over the world, so make sure to get it!
3. Head All The Way Back To Arissola
After obtaining the ticket, you'll have to go back to Arissola in order to board the Narwhal. The easiest way is to surf to Brical De Mar & walk north along the Thalassian Cliffs. Make sure to heal before you board, as you'll have to fight your rival!

Plan Your Order Carefully
This battle with Max will be quite a challenge, so it's important to plan the order of your Tems carefully. Consider using the following process:
- Lead with a Nature type like Loali or Saku to resist Piraniant and Loali.
- Swap to Water/Electric types for Oree. Focus it down immediately!
- Revive your Electric user if necessary before Barnshe.
- Have a Nature/Wind type ready to resist Ganki
Spam Balm+

If you have a Tem you're sure can handle the opponents, one worthwhile strategy is to spam Balm+ on it until your opponent is exhausted. Oree's Turbo Attack costs 27 Stamina, meaning it can only use 2 before exhausting itself. If you survive those, you should be okay.
Recommended Level: 25-30
This fight can be particularly difficult if you're low, as even a super-effective hit on Max's Lvl. 28 Oree will not do much damage. We strongly recommend leveling up at least your Nessla or Ganki to 25+ before this fight.

Pick UP TC007: Noxious Bomb

On your way to the next town make sure to pick up the Noxious Bomb Course! This can be taught to many Tems repeatedly and is a physical Toxic move that does 100 damage. Toxic is Super-Effective against Nature and Water types, making it ver useful in Omninesia and beyond. Teach this to the likes of Tateru, Saku, Ganki, and Tuwai!
2. Head To Mokupuni

Use the route above to travel to Mokupuni and pick up all the chests you see! Don't worry about the slippery red crystal area. You will be able to navigate over this later.

There are a few very simple tile hopping puzzles you'll have to complete to get to the end of this Dojo. Simply avoid the tiles with grass on them and you'll be okay!

Lead With Fire Types, Switch To Water

Rawiri has 3 Fire-type Tems, all of which are weak to water, but they aren't sent out immediately. Start the battle with something that can handle Tateru and a Fire-type. Afterward, switch into one (or preferably two) Water types so you can resist the Fire moves coming your way and deal massive damage. Swap out your Water types as soon as you Taifu, however!
Make Use Of Noxious Bomb
Remember the Course we picked up along the way? This is the perfect place to use it. Teach Noxious Bomb to any Tem that can learn it so you can easily deal with Taifu and Deendre. In particular, Tuwai, Ganki, and Tateru are not weak to Fire or Nature, so they can hold their own until you take out Taifu. After taking out Taifu, switch back into your Water types to deal with Raize.
