Table of Contents

What are Groups?

A community where multiple users can participate

A group is a community where multiple users can converse and interact. Besides groups for creating games together, users with shared hobbies or favorite games can gather to exchange information and communicate. Joining groups is generally free.

Interact on the Group Wall

When you join a group, you can post on the group wall. This allows you to exchange information and communicate with various users within the group.

Sell items in the Store

In the group store, you can create and sell avatar items like pants. The sales revenue becomes group funds.

Can Groups Be Created for Free?

Creating a group costs 100 Robux

Creating a group requires 100 Robux. Additionally, changing the group name also costs 100 Robux, so choose your group name carefully.

How to Join a Group

Search for the group you want to join

Search for groups you want to join using keywords related to your interests, hobbies, or favorite games.

Join the group

Once you find a group you want to join, click "Join Group" to enter. If it's not an approval-based group, you can join immediately. If it requires approval, you can join after a group administrator approves your request.

If you can't join, wait for approval

The method for joining a group varies depending on who created it. Some groups require approval, while others allow immediate entry without approval. If you can't join immediately, wait for the group creator to approve your request.

Joining too many groups at once may lead to restrictions

If you join many groups in a short period, your ability to join groups may be temporarily restricted. This often resolves itself after a few days, so try waiting if you're unable to join groups.

To leave, do so from the group menu

If you want to leave a group, go to the group's home page, select "..." and then choose "Leave Group" to exit the group.

Kicking members is also possible

If you are an administrator or owner with the necessary permissions, you can kick a member from the group by going to "Configure Group" > "Members", selecting "..." next to the relevant member, and clicking "Kick User". If there are members disrupting the group, deal with them by kicking them.

How to Create a Group

Create from the Groups menu

Go to the Groups menu from either the "Connect" menu or the "More" menu's "Groups" option, and select "Create Group".

Set the name and details

Set the name, description, and how other users can join the group you are creating. The "Emblem" will be the group's icon, so it's recommended to set an image related to the group name or purpose to make it easily recognizable.

Configure settings

Once you've created a group, configure its settings. Pay special attention to the "Roles" section, as this involves assigning permissions for managing the group, such as who can post on the wall or approve join requests. Set these up as a priority.

How to Approve Join Requests

Approve requests from the Members section

If you've set the group joining method to require approval, you can approve requests from "Configure Group" > "Members". If there are pending join requests, don't forget to approve them.

How to Add Group Funds

Sell skins and other items for purchase

Group funds are added when items like skins are sold within the group and purchased. If you want to increase funds, try creating and selling skins or other items first.

What are Group Ranks?

Ranks refer to roles within the group

Group ranks indicate the roles and scope of permissions within the group. By default, "Owner," "Admin," "Member," and "Guest" ranks are available, each with different capabilities within the group.

Default Rank Types and Details

RankPermissions/Abilities
Owner- Creator of the group
- Has all permissions
Admin- Assists the Owner
- Has permissions related to wall posts
- Can also manage members if granted permission by the Owner
Member- General group member
- Can only post on and view the wall
- Can also manage members if granted permission by the Owner (not recommended)
Guest- Player participating on a trial basis
- Can only view the wall
- Cannot post on the wall

Rank roles and permissions can be freely changed

Tap "Configure Group > Roles > Create Role" to add new roles. Adding a role costs 25 Robux, so unless your membership grows significantly, it's recommended to operate the group with the default ranks.

Avoid granting excessive permissions

While you can freely assign permissions for each rank, granting permissions indiscriminately can lead to a lawless group. For players in lower-ranked roles, limit their permissions to viewing and posting on the wall, and ensure they cannot manage members or funds.

Assign ranks from the Members section

Assigning ranks to players in the group can be done from "Configure Group > Members". Open the dropdown menu for the member you want to assign a rank to and give them the appropriate role.
