Beneath The Surface Walkthrough Chart

| 1 | Wait for Mayor Hagar to call you about getting a core for the tank |
| 2 | Go to Wellspring to talk to Mayor Hagar & start this mission |
| 3 | Head out to Twin Falls and go through the compound til you reach the top of their tower |
| 4 | Use the zipline to reach the Goliath Plant |
| 5 | Move forward until you get the cutscene with Clayton & General Cross |
| 6 | Head deeper into the plant until you encounter a Cyber Crusher that you need to defeat |
| 7 | Keep going until you reach the room with the Fission Core |
| 8 | Destroy the 2 Laser Controllers in the Fission Core's room |
| 9 | Grab the Fission Core and exit the plant |
| 10 | Head back to Wellspring & talk to Mayor Hagar to complete the mission |
1. Mission Prerequisite
Reach Level 5 With Loosum Hagar
In order to prompt Mayor Hagar to call you, you need to reach Level 5 with her. This means completing side quests that are "YELLOW" - mostly road blacks, convoys, Authority sentries, among others.

Stay High Up To Easily Spot Enemies
There are several places you can jump up on and shoot from in this area. It's best to find a high vantage point so you can easily spot your foes and shoot them down.
Shoot Explosive Barrels Near Foes
This mission area will be littered with red explosive barrels that you can shoot to damage your opponents. When your enemies are near them, be sure to shoot them to cause big damage.
5~9. Goliath Plant Combat - Tips
Stay Behind Cover When Enemies Shoot Missiles
You'll face Authority mutants that can fire long-range missiles towards you. Be sure to keep behind cover to avoid taking the full brunt of the missiles' damage.
Use Shotgun To Take Armor Down Fast
Some Authority mutants will be armored - this shows up as a blue bar on top of them. You can use an upgraded Shotgun to take their armor down in a couple of shots.

Use Assault Rifle For Fast, Continuous Damage
The best weapon to use against he Cyber Crusher is the Assault Rifle. It can do fast, continuous damage that you need to bring down the Cyber Crusher fast.
Aim For Blue Center Panel In Boss's Chest
The Cyber Crusher's first weak spot is the blue panel at the center of its chest. Once you bring its separate HP bar down, the Cyber Crusher will collapse and show its other weak spots.
Destroy Blue Plugs That Emerge
Once the Cyber Crusher is down, blue plugs will emerge from its side and back. Shoot them until they explode to weaken the Cyber Crusher and bring down several of its HP bars.
9. No Need To Kill Enemies To Exit Plant
When you grab the Fission Core, a whole bunch of Authority mutants will emerge and try to kill you. You can just run and head to the platform that will let you exit the plant. You don't have to defeat all enemies that come out.
