What are Icon Images and Frames?
Icon Images are Illustrations
An icon image is the illustration depicted on the icon. There are two types of icon images: icon illustrations from within Knives Out, and images you upload yourself.
Icon Frames are Decorations Around the Icon
An icon frame is a decorative frame around the icon. Unlike icons, you cannot use frames that you have uploaded yourself. Icon frames can be purchased within Knives Out or obtained from Supplies (Gacha).

You can set either an illustration obtained within Knives Out or an image you uploaded yourself as your icon image. If you want to set an in-game illustration, select the illustration. If you want to set your favorite image, tap Album.

Only frames obtained within Knives Out can be set as icon frames. If you want to change your icon frame, tap the icon and then select Change Icon Frame. To purchase an icon frame, tap "Get More".
[Attention]Precautions When Setting Icons
Restart After Uploading Image
Even if you upload an image you want to use as an icon, it may not change to the new icon image immediately. If the icon image doesn't change, try restarting Knives Out. After restarting, if the upload was successful, the icon image will switch.
Image Re-upload Possible After 30 Minutes
After uploading an icon image, you cannot upload a new image for 30 minutes. If you really want to remove the set icon image, "Delete" it instead of uploading a new one.
Change to Illustration After "Deleting"
If you want to change from an image you uploaded to an in-game illustration from Knives Out, first Delete the current one. If you tap an illustration without "Deleting", the icon image will not switch, so be careful.
If "Insufficient Permissions" is Displayed
Access to Photos Not Permitted
If access to photos is not permitted, "Insufficient Permissions" will be displayed, and you will not be able to upload images.
Allowing Access to Photos (for iPhone)
Go to Settings → Knives Out → Photos and check "All Photos" to permit access to photos.
How to Prevent Icons from Being Zoomed?
Changeable in Settings
By turning OFF "Icon Zoom" in the Social Settings, you can prevent other players from zooming in on your icon.
How to Obtain Icon Images and Frames
How to Obtain Icons
Icon illustrations within Knives Out can be obtained from the shop or events. All icons sold in the shop can be purchased for 20,000 Silver. If you upload your own favorite image, it costs nothing.
Also Obtainable from Regular Supplies (Gacha)
Icons can also be obtained from Gacha. However, pulling Gacha requires a large amount of Silver, so if you are aiming for a specific icon, it is more economical to buy it from the shop.
How to Obtain Icon Frames
There are various ways to obtain icon frames, and most icon frames cannot be directly purchased with Silver, Diamonds, or Vouchers. If you want to know the various ways to obtain icon frames, check Icon Frame in the item section of the shop.
Can Also Be Obtained from Collaboration Events
You can sometimes obtain icons and icon frames from collaboration events that are held periodically. The period for obtaining them is limited, so if you want to collect them, check the currently ongoing events.
