2. Try Shooting a Gun

In Knives Out, you need to use guns to kill enemies. There are various types of guns, so try using different ones to find one that suits you.
3. Practice in Single Mode

In Knives Out, you can play by forming teams of 1 to 5 people. First, try practicing in the single-player mode. You can move freely and practice without worrying about other players.
4. Train in Gunfights

Once you have a certain understanding of how to move in Knives Out, try engaging in gunfights in normal battles or leisure modes. It's not just about shooting; you'll also need techniques to shoot while dodging enemy bullets.
Practice Easily in Leisure Mode
Leisure mode is a mode where you can play with rules different from normal battles. They are ideal for practice because you can use your favorite weapons, and matches are short.
Should Beginners Pull Gacha?
Don't Need to Prioritize Pulling Gacha

The costume skins and weapon skins obtainable from Knives Out gacha do not have elements that can enhance your stats or damage dealt. It's not the case that the more you pull, the stronger you become.
Change Your Look With Gacha Skins

Skins obtained from gacha can be equipped in the warehouse. Join battles with your favorite appearance.
Palace Skins Have Special Abilities

Some Palace skins obtainable from the Palace Gacha or EX Palace Gacha have special abilities. In particular, Palace vehicle skins may have special acceleration functions or can change modes to alter their performance.
Recommended Settings/Sensitivity
Customize Preferred Button Layout

All movements during battle are determined by button presses, so place the buttons where they are easy for you to press. You can set this from "Customize Battle Screen" in Operation Settings. Try it out in the shooting range and find a layout that suits you.
Sensitivity Settings Affect Shooting

Sensitivity settings determine how much your viewpoint moves when you swipe the screen. Similar to button layout, find a sensitivity that suits you.
Recommended Weapons
Assault Rifles Are Recommended at First

Assault rifles are weapons with relatively few quirks, and especially and other fully automatic weapons are easy to handle and recommended.
Sniper Rifles and Shotguns Are Difficult

Sniper rifles and shotguns are also powerful, but mastering them requires practice and experience. Therefore, they are not recommended as weapons for beginners to start with.
Recommended Maps
Try Fierce Battleground and Stormy Peninsula
There isn't a big difference no matter which Knives Out map you choose. Fierce Battleground and Stormy Peninsula are recommended because their map designs are simple and easy for beginners to play.
Once You Get Used to It, Try Other Maps
Once you get somewhat used to combat, try playing on other maps. There's Knives Land with short match times, and Wild Oasis where you can buy weapons and vehicles from shops.
How to Add Friends
Use the Search Function

When looking for friends in Knives Out, it's recommended to use the search function. You can search by filtering conditions such as rank, playing time, and game style. Try sending friend requests to players with high compatibility.
You Can Also Search by Name or ID

If you want to become friends with a specific player, enter their name or ID in the advanced search field and search.
Rules of the Poison Gas Area
Poison Gas Area Is Completely Random

The poison gas area, where you gradually take damage, is determined randomly. Always check the map for the safe zone.
Poison Damage Increases in Latter Half

Damage within the poison gas area increases more and more towards the end game. Try to avoid entering the poison gas area in the late game.
Early Game Poison Gas Area Deals Less Damage
In the early game, you won't take much damage even if you're inside the poison gas area. To put it extremely, if it's the first poison gas, and you're gradually recovering with a sports drink, it's okay to prioritize collecting supplies a bit.
Beware of Red Zone Bombing

Separate from the poison gas area, a red circle randomly appears on the map. Bombardment is dropped within that area, and a direct hit will incapacitate you. You'll rarely get hit, so there's not much need to be overly cautious.
Take Shelter Inside Buildings
Bombing from the red zone generally won't hit you if you're inside a building. However, be careful as you might rarely get hit if you're at the edge of the indoors.
How to Collect Supplies
Supplies Are Scattered All Over the Map

Weapons, ammunition, recovery items, etc., in Knives Out are scattered all over the map. Especially, concentrated supplies are found inside buildings, so aim for buildings when parachuting down.
Amount of Supplies Affects Victory or Defeat

Supplies such as strong weapons, high-level armor, recovery items, and attachments should be collected as much as possible in the early game. In combat, you are generally more likely to win if you have strong weapons and armor.
Item Collection Method Can Be Set
There are two types of supply collection: automatic and manual. Automatic collection is the default, but manual collection is also an option once you get used to sorting items. Both allow manual pickup, and you can also set it so that unwanted supplies are not picked up automatically.
First, Collect Weapons and Armor

Immediately after landing, make sure you find a weapon so you can fight back if you encounter an enemy. The ideal weapon is an assault rifle.
Supply Drop Locations Are Fixed
In Knives Out, 'whether supplies appear or not' and 'what supplies are dropped' are random, but the locations where they drop are fixed. Understanding where supplies are located in various houses, huts, apartments, and other buildings will speed up your supply gathering.
Loot Supplies From Defeated Enemies

In Knives Out, you can pick up supplies from incapacitated teammates or defeated enemies. Since these are supplies collected by players, they often contain good items. Loot them while making sure there are no enemies around.
Most Efficient Way to Collect Supplies?
Killing enemies to collect their supplies is the most efficient way to gather supplies. Instead of solely focusing on gathering supplies, once you think you have enough to defeat enemies, actively go for kills.
Determine Your Ideal Amount of Supplies
Example of Ideal Supply Amount
Supplies | Quantity |
---|---|
Assault Rifle x1 | 200+ rounds of ammo |
Shotgun, Sniper Rifle, etc. | 10+ rounds of ammo |
Helmet | Level 2 or higher |
Body Armor | Level 2 or higher |
Med Kit | 0-1 |
First Aid Kit | 3-5 |
Bandage | 5-10 |
Sports Drink | 3-5 |
Deciding in advance the amount of supplies you will use will make gathering them smoother. Think about 'What are my preferred weapons? How many healing items do I need?'. Beginner players should first try to collect supplies referring to the table below.
Try to Aim for Supply Drops

In Knives Out, supply drops are randomly dropped from the sky during a match. Supply drops contain powerful weapons and armor. If one lands nearby, actively go to pick it up.
