This is how to transfer data for Knives Out. It covers the procedure for transferring data to another device, account linking methods, and what to do if you can't transfer data.

Data Transfer / Device Change
You can only transfer data using the following methods on the same OS.
Transfer Using a Code
1. Press User from the Top Screen

First, press the User button on the right side of the server selection screen. Here you can manage your linked accounts.
2. Press Issue Transfer Code

When you tap the User button, a button saying 'Issue Transfer Code' will appear, so press it.
3. Enter Password

Enter a password between 6 and 16 characters. Make it a password you will definitely not forget, as it will be needed when entering the transfer code on another device.
4. Transfer Code Issued

Enter the password and press Create Code to complete. The transfer code will be displayed, so make sure to note it down or take a screenshot.
5. Enter Transfer Code on Another Device

Enter the transfer code created in steps 1.-4. on the device you want to transfer to. The password set in step 3. will also be required. Data transfer is possible from the account switch screen in step 2. of the screen.
6. Transfer Complete!

Once the transfer is complete, make sure to check that it is indeed your data.
Transfer using Account Linking
1. Tap User from the Title Screen

Tap 'User' in the upper right corner of the title screen.
2. Select 'Account Link'

By tapping 'Account Link', you can check the list of services that can be linked. Select your desired service and link your account.

3. Select the Linked Service on the Destination Device

On the destination device, tap 'User' on the title screen, and from the account switch page, select the linked service and log in.
Transfer to iPhone and Android
Transfer to Different OS
- Select "Transfer between different OS" from settings
- Issue a "transfer code"
- Enter your registered safety address
- Transfer on the destination device
- Enter the safety address
- Enter the transfer code to complete
Currently, Knives Out allows data transfer between iPhone (iPad) and Android. You can transfer using a transfer code, so linking with SNS etc. is not necessary.
Transfer Data to Switch Version
Transfer Using a QR code

If you have data played on the smartphone version, you can transfer the data by scanning the QR code displayed on the Switch version with your smartphone. Check the article below for detailed instructions.
How to Link Accounts with SNS
How to link
1. Tap 'Account Link'

Similar to data transfer, press 'Account Link' from User.
2. Select the service you want to Link

There is a wide variety of services you can link with, such as 'Google Play,' 'Facebook,' 'X (formerly Twitter),' 'LINE,' and 'Game Center.' Linking with at least one account can prevent data loss.

3. Linking Allows for Recovery
By linking your account with services like SNS, you can recover your data in case it is lost.
How to Unlink SNS
1. Tap 'User Center'

Press User Center from 'Home Screen' - 'Settings'.

3. Tap 'Unlink'

Tap Unlink, and proceed with 'Yes' on the confirmation screen to complete unlinking.

What to Do If Data Transfer Fails?
Try Reissuing the Code

If data transfer is not successful, it might be due to an incorrect transfer code entry or similar issues. Try reissuing and entering the transfer code again.
Check the Transfer Method

The procedure differs when transferring between the same OS and between different OS. When transferring between different OS, it must be done from the in-game settings, so be careful.
Recovery Transfer Code Password?
Reissuing the Code

If you have forgotten the transfer code password, you can reissue the transfer code, and at that time, you can also reset the password to a new one.
Unable to Create Password
Even if you cannot issue a transfer code password, you can set a new password by reissuing the transfer code.
No Password Transfers
Password-less transfer codes cannot be issued. In the past, there was a method to issue password-less transfer codes from the in-game settings screen, but currently, all are unified to password-required transfer codes from the User Center.
