What is Instant Kill Mode?
No Aim Button Needed!?
▲ Kar98k headshot using Instant Kill Mode
Instant Kill Mode is a sniping setting where "while holding the fire button, you look through the scope, and when you release it, you shoot". This eliminates the need to press the aim button, allowing you to snipe with just one fire button.
How to Set Up Instant Kill Mode
Change from Combat Settings

To turn Instant Kill Mode ON/OFF, you can set it from "Settings" → "Combat Settings" → "Scope Settings" → "Instant Kill Mode". By default, it is OFF.
Pros of Instant Kill Mode
Can Shorten Firing Action

Instead of the usual two actions of "aiming with the scope and pressing the fire button," being able to shoot with "effectively one action" by "aiming with the scope and releasing the fire button" is very powerful.
Try it at the Firing Range
Changing the settings suddenly might cause confusion in actual combat, so try practicing at the firing range before using it in actual combat. If you can master it, your long-range combat capabilities will significantly improve!
Cons of Instant Kill Mode
Slightly Cumbersome to Cancel Scope

Once you look through the scope, you can't cancel it without pressing the cancel button while still holding the fire button. This ties up two fingers simultaneously, putting you in a very dangerous situation.
When Instant Kill Mode Doesn't Activate?
Check if the Weapon is Compatible
Instant Kill Mode is not compatible with automatic marksman rifles. It is only compatible with bolt-action sniper rifles.
