Among Us - Best Settings
Recommended Settings
The best settings for a game will depend entirely on how you want to play Among Us, but if you prefer to involve a lot of strategic thinking, the settings below are recommended. These settings might slightly favor the Imposter, which will make the Crewmate team have to think more carefully, thereby making the game more interesting.
Recommended Settings & Reasons
Setting | Detail & Reason |
---|---|
Map | Any |
Number Of Impostors | 2 Impostors Recommended to have 2 Impostors if you are playing with 8 or more players |
Confirm Ejects | Off Not knowing whether ejected player was Impostor or not makes the game more interesting |
Number of Emergency Meetings | 1 If you want to have more discussion among players, increase this number |
Emergency Cooldown | 20seconds Have the Emergency Cooldown slightly shorter than the Kill Cooldown so that you can call a meeting before an Imposter can have a chance to kill a Crewmate (in the event that you're certain someone is an Impostor) |
Discussion Time | 15~30 seconds If you are not using voice chat and typing takes more time, increase this time |
Voting Time | 120 seconds |
Player Speed | 1.25x |
Crewmate Vision | 0.75x Crewmates' vision is more limited than usual, letting Imposters act with more freedom |
Impostor Vision | 1.5x Impostors' vision is wider than usual, benefiting Imposters overall |
Kill Cooldown | 22.5 seconds The Kill cooldown is faster than usual, which makes games go by faster |
Kill Distance | Short This allows Crewmates to dodge or stay away from the Impostor's attack when a Crewmate finds a suspicious player |
Visual Tasks | Off Visual Tasks can prove to players who is really a Crewmate. If you prefer to find the Impostor by discussion rather than an obvious hint, turn this setting off |
